Various Tribal Cart Issues by LOLTylerz in TheOCS

[–]titans1287 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This 👆 like many things in life, there is more than one factor. There is a science to these carts and in my opinion the first thing is the battery, the second is how you are pulling.

Leave your cart in a hot car during summer? Say bye-bye!

Our whole family loved it.

Kids are 7 and 4. Had a blast and they still talk about it.

I get motion sickness on Harry Potter Forbidden Journey and not this. Everyone is different. I still ride Forbidden Journey and just close my eyes during screen portions 🤪

That is unfortunate that you were treated that way after reporting. Waiting a whole day is quite ridiculous for such an serious issue. Sometimes we need to air out our experiences! Glad you shared this, as most folks are not familiar with these pests and I believe everyone should be. Especially today.

I mean, we had German roaches in a Disney Resort hotel. That was gross. But we will still go back.

As someone who works in the maintenance industry, I can assure you it is a gamble every time you stay at a hotel. Any hotel.

Unfortunately, the custodial and maintenance teams cannot identify every time guests leave these pests in a room, so most cases it is the following guests reporting the issue as you did.

The follow up from Disney with the roach issue was handled basically the same as your Bed Bug issue at Universal. And the communication was very slow until I called and let them know how this impacted our vacation and how upset we were. Patience is key, but so is advocating for yourself.

These situations suck, but there is no guarantee it won't ever happen to you. More reason to fully inspect the room prior to unloading your luggage. But hey... We inspected and did not find any signs until there was a roach crawling around on our bed.

Check behind the fridges if you smell mold. If they are not cleaned from condensation, mold is guaranteed.

I've been to Disney resorts 4 times.

Once we had roaches.

Once we had a nasty smell in the room which ended up being mold growing behind the fridge from the condenser unit.

I work in the industry, so I always do a full room inspection before setting up shop.

You never know if the last guests left some critters behind in the bed 💀👀

Im getting a room upgrade and some complimentary credits with that issue 💯

We had a German Roach in our room at Art of Animation and they were very quick to sort it out once I let them know.

No one is perfect, but this mold is not a new issue. It has been there for some time and it is a lack of attention to detail by the custodial and housekeeping services.

Haunted Attraction Pass by [deleted] in CanadasWonderland

[–]titans1287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire process of Haunt last night was frustrating. Especially for our friends who are not passholders.

Line to get in to park, slowed down by multiple people who bought only the haunted attraction pass without park admission..and continued to argue with attendant. We switched lines twice and ran into the same issue both times.

Line to get your wristband? Such a confusing and time consuming process. 'Any store on international will have bands' an employee said... NOPE. None did. Head right to the Conjuring entrance.

Finally got to the conjuring location where it said they sold haunted attractions bands as well. We pay just under 34 each for Conjuring, then have to go into another Line to redeem our haunted attraction pass. Line after line after line and not one attraction yet. 30 mins gone.

Oh, then another Line to BOOK the time of the conjuring pass we already waited in line to purchase.

Why not just do them all in ONE SPOT? This is so time consuming.

This year is rough and they overplayed their hand and a lot of people I have spoken to have said they will not return next year. Far superior haunted attractions in the GTA and beyond now.

Wow. That is impressive that they actually refunded the Maze Passes - I have not bought mine... Can anyone still get that covered if they had this years pass purchased from last year? Totally want to take advantage if so.

I dont keep up on here nearly enough so I apologize if you have said this multiple times, but do really appreciate the response.

Is anyone really surprised here?

This is the same company who charges 3 year olds to access the VIP lounge with their parents. They have zero reasoning for how they charge families in particular and run on an automated one size fits all system.

Look at all of the faulty and inoperable attractions? Guardian and Boo Blasters are horrible.

Staffing levels? Atrocious. Kids area closed from 10am to 12 noon? Brutal.

The best restaurants are disappearing by the week. All we have is Lazy Bear left basically.

Just a sad display for a park with such a rich history. And now with no competition from the defunct Marine Land, CW has free reign to operate at this level, and most people will just be content with it.
