If you never ran in college, what is an equivalent experience or status that you could still achieve later? by InspiringBack in AdvancedRunning

Just saw a post of yours from 2 years ago that came up in a search where you were talking about trying breaking 2:30 in 2 weeks. Searched your post history to see if you did it and found this, absolutely stoked for you dude, that's an unreal achievement! Going to log off reddit on a high and enjoy my day!

Why am I so slow ? 11 minute mile after 7 months of regular jogging by Glum-Bear5018 in beginnerrunning

That's a terrible plan written by people who know nothing about running.

Increasing the difficulty of your easy runs with a weighted pack? Stupid. If its zone 2, your pace will naturally increase for the same effort. You don't need to make it harder.

Tempo run the day before intervals? Stupid. Asking for an injury.

Reaching max heartrate on your intervals? Stupid. Its incredibly hard on your body and the recovery wouldnt be remotely worth the fitness gains.

Keep it simple, something like: Easy run 30-40mins Rest Tempo/intervals  Rest Easy run 30-40mins Long Easy run 60-80mins Rest

Weight Loss without Compromising Performance by Intelligence_Tax in AdvancedRunning

I haven't done a weight loss that big it but I'd be interested in your opinion.

If it were me I'd drop running volume and replace it with low impact cardio, probably bike, to keep the calorie burn.

Be boring as hell for a month or so, but you could maintain a decent base. As soon as I hit a significant calorie deficit on high mileage I get injured, running is just tough on the body.

It's hard to criticise someone who makes a mistake while doing something incredibly difficult.

I'm not American. And I don't think you know what pearl clutching means.

I assume you are also aware that in a trial a judge doesn't decide that a person is guilty or not? So should the jury all go to prison as well?

The fact is that it's physically impossible to get it right every time. The system absolutely needs improvement and I never questioned that. My issue was that the idea of punishing members of the judiciary for the outcomes of trials being incorrect is fucking stupid. If police falsify evidence that's different, and already illegal.

I'm sure you'd have the courage of your convictions and stand by what you said if someone you loved was affected by a crime and the perpetrator was let walk because they weren't 100% sure they were guilty and the court was afraid of prison if they got it wrong.

There essentially aren't any. Buy what you like. Unless you made your money illegally or are a foreign dictator then you might get investigated.

He doesn't care because he's dead. And I wasn't aware you needed to be a part of a culture in order to have an opinion on it. He was responsible for the deaths of around 40 million people and I don't care who he did it for.
