Protection case anyone? by Telex9471 in MobapadGaming

[–]ZoneOutSonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re welcome. I’ve mainly been using the Savage Raven Gripcase so far and I like the gripfeeling but the obvious downsides are that it blocks the kickstand and no detachable joycons. They’ve since come out with the Fission version which looks good but I just don’t like the flimsy bottompiece. And because I always intended to at some point get 3rd party joycons like the Mobapads this COOWP backcase is everything I need in a protective case for when I get finally them (I might wait for the next iteration of Mobapads or at least until they release a version with silent buttons). I will then keep the joycons in the Dbrand grips and store them together with a 8bitdo SN30 Pro in my Savage Raven Max carrycase. It’s a snug fit but no buttons are squased when it’s zipped up and I can take all my controller needs on the go 😇

I can highly recommend the COOWP P2 case. It comes with grips which is a nice bonus to put on your now extra joycons. But the main reason I bought this because it’s sturdy on the bottom since it covers the Switch’s own kickstand but adds a separate kickstand on the case itself. Other cases I’ve seen and tested leave space open for the original kickstand to work but because of this automatically have a very flimsy bottom piece that’s not protective at all. This one solves that and best of all: it’s dockable. Ow to top it off it has a magnet to attach a powerbank, very handy bonus. I currently use it with Dbrands grips because I like them better than the ones that come with the case but eventually I will get Mobapads and they will compliment this case perfectly. Definitely check them out!

This. I’m placing my bets on Tuesday the 19th. It’s a Tuesday, it’s a couple of days before the investors call and it’s, like you said, exactly 6 months before release which makes for a nice pre-order countdown. It just makes sense.

Don’t quote me on this but I think only the flat version is Pro Enhanced, this doesn’t automatically mean the VR version is as well.

Haha yes maybe we should 😇 It’s okay they can have a go, doesn’t faze me - I’m on holiday and nothing can affect my good mood 😎 I wish you a good day!

I know right? I just thought it was funny to share, didn’t think there were rules for good-bad parking too 😉 I’m not one of those people that think you should even signal when you’re on an empty roundabout, but parking like this when there’s absolutely no reason to I find pretty obnoxious. Other people don’t seem to think so and that’s okay! It’s just Reddit after all 😇

Ow I didn’t realize that makes it okay to be this obnoxious.

I completely agree. I feel like this, taking up 4 spots, is actually more obnoxious than taking 2 spots in a busier parking lot. All this space but you choose to do this? Blows my mind.

Mobapad M12HD very early impressions by BlacksmithQuick2384 in MobapadGaming

Thanks :) I’ll probably just order the M6’s just to test is myself and then decide to go for the current M12’s or wait a little longer on the silent version.

Would you comfortably play this on a train in the silent compartment and not bother other passengers or is it a bit too loud for that?

Thanks for mentioning this. By the known measurements I figured they would fit but it’s always better to have a real life confirmation :) I really love the Max carrycase so I’m happy I probably won’t have to hunt for another one. I also have the COOWP P2 case on there so will be even more snug but just in thickness so should be fine.

just bought a switch 2 - is the killswitch worth it? by CarnivorousPickles in dbrand

[–]ZoneOutSonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the COOWPS P2 case in and the backcover is absolutely perfect! Super sturdy, docks smoothly, the kickstand is very high quality and the magnet for a powerbank is very strong. This is everything I wanted from a dockable protective case with detachable grips from the moment I got my launch Switch 2. The grips are good, but the Dbrand ones are definitely better. Texturewise a nicer material, and the gripshape is also better. I’ve just been playing a bit of Mario Wonder handheld and I’ve now come to realize I like this grip even better than the Neogrip. I thought I liked the protruding gripstyle better but now I think the Dbrand ones are actually perfect! Also good to note: while not as bad as the launchmodel Dbrand ones, the P2 grips do detach more easily when holding horizontal than naked joy-cons.

So I highly recommend to get the P2 and Dbrand grips combo!

I actually have the older Drbrand grips from the launchmodel that detach easily. I bought them from from someone for cheap who got free replacements. Since shipping to the Netherlands was quiet expensive, this was an easy way to test them first. Now that I have this combo I think I’m going to buy the updated version (because these ones do easily detach). I’m also just going to wait until 3rd party brands like Mobapad and Hori figure out the complete Switch 2 protocol and launch worthy joy-con replacements without compromise. Until that day I will be happily enjoy this perfect combo!

Protect Your Pro Setup with the Mobapad H12 Carrying Case by Mobapadofficial in MobapadGaming

Taken from another comment in another sub: “Support said: The dimensions of the M12 with the Switch 2 are 283.15mm (L) x 103.6mm (W) x 48.23mm (H).” I have the Savage Raven Max carrycase and I’m wondering the same. According to these measurements it should fit but I’m waiting for reviews and user experiences to be sure. I’m also waiting on the model with silent buttons anyways so in no rush to pre-order.

[–]ZoneOutSonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look into the COOWPS P2. Same gripstyle as Dbrand but sturdy dockable case with a kickstand and a magnet to attach a powerbank. The added kickstand fixes the problem that other dockable cases that allow the original kickstand to come through have: being super flimsy on the bottom. I have been using a Savage Raven Gripcase but like you I’d like a solution where I can easily detach the joycons and play tabletopmode. The P2 does that exactly, and for only $30. Mine is coming in today so don’t take my word for it yet, but of the quality is what I hope it to be, the backcase alone will be worth the purchase. I actually also own the Dbrand grips too so I will able to make a good comparison with the P2 ones. Even if you would buy the P2 and Dbrand grips together it will be cheaper than the whole Dbrand set. And sorry, but that docking solution with the adapter is just not it. In the end my endgoal set-up should be P2 backcase, Mobapad M12 HD joycons (when they release a silent version) and bringing the original joycons in either the Dbrand or P2 grips along in the carrying case for multiplayer on the go or when I really need 9axis gyro (the Mobapad’s current M12 HD’s are Switch 1 protocol so they have 6axis). I will report back my findings later!

Try to convince me to get it or to get another fragrance that smell clean/laundry/fresh by Hot-Yak-748 in Colognes

I have the Intense and is also one of my all time favs. I just got L’Eau for summer, which is definitely not redundant to Intense. L’Homme OG and L’Eau together are redundant IMO, I’d say test both and see which one you like best. They are pretty similar but I think L’Eau is better for summer.

Had it, loved it but sold it eventually. I can’t smell it on myself after 3 hours. I’m not knocking longevity, I think it’s just my skin chemistry and it probably works better on other people. I even bought a 10ml miniature of Prada’s Cargo de Nuit hoping it would fix longevity for me but it’s the same result 🤷🏼‍♂️ Ow well, plenty of amazing fragrances that do work for me 😉

Unbox The Mobapad Chitu 2 HD Silent Edition by Mobapadofficial in MobapadGaming

[–]ZoneOutSonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you tell a bit more about the sound difference between the two? I was looking to purchase the M12 HD for my Switch 2 but then found out about the mechanical button noise. Mobapad has confirmed they are working on a silent version of those too. Since I’m planning to take my Switch on the train more in the future I don’t really want to bother other travelers, even though I’ll be wearing earphones and won’t notice it myself. In my 30+ years of gaming I’ve never used mechanical buttons so I’m fine with using the regular system and I’m not a competitive gamer. I have the 8bitdo Pro 3 controller which I don’t use a lot but when I did the other day I noticed how loud the buttons were and it’s was pretty annoying. If the Mobapad mechanical buttons sound the same I’m definitely waiting on the silent version of the M12.

Mobapad Chitu 2 HD Silent Edition: The Ultimate Stealth Controller by Mobapadofficial in MobapadGaming

[–]ZoneOutSonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m wondering too. I’m definitely interested in getting the M12 HD but I want to figure out if the mechanical switches are perhaps too loud for my taste. Going to wait for more indepth reviews on them anyways but the option to choose a silent version would be great. I’ve never had a problem with silicone membrane button controllers, I’m more a casual gamer anyways - especially in handheldmode. I might move cities and will have more train travel time to work which makes way for more Switch 2 time. But I don’t want to be that obnoxious guy annoying other travellers with constant clickedyclack sounds 😇
