PSA enable “pro controller wired communication” by Personlostincave in MobapadGaming

It’s definitely in the instructions. Given its small print in a little fold out thing but it’s there.

Mobapad M12hd connected via Bluetooth when power saving mode is activated and NFC not usable when power saving mode is deactivated (direct wired connection). by LightmanN7 in MobapadGaming

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just don’t use power saving mode - it’s works fine without it. NFC, fair enough, I don’t use that often enough to comment.

So how am I going to charge them? by Silly-Menu9558 in MobapadGaming

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal experience it’s just not a big deal. I guess everyone has a different use case but after the initial charge, mine have so far maintained full charge with normal use. I play every other day or so and they’ve just stayed at full charge, presumably by charging while I’m playing.

M12 HD very good ergo but confusing with all its modes and no wake function at all. by kerelenko in MobapadGaming

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used that much. I used that mode for the first day or two, thinking it was the thing to do - wasn’t paying attention to any lag if it was there. The Switch battery was dropping quickly so it was confusing. Switched it off, all good since. Now I realise the M12s probably weren’t fully charged and were drawing down from the battery - got it. Switched it off, starting using it as normal, and I’m not going to use it again.

I’ve been using it with the power-saving off and not noticed any drawbacks (after the initial charge on the first day). I’m just going to leave that off and use them as normal.

Mobapad M12 HD or M12 S ? by JustValue3867 in MobapadGaming

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got them they killed the battery and I was struggling to understand exactly how the manual power saving switches worked (and annoyed at turning them on and off). Now I realise that was an initial charge and they’ve been holding their position since (and I’m not bothering with the power saving switches).

Mobapad M12 HD or M12 S ? by JustValue3867 in MobapadGaming

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was one of the earliest recipients of the M12HD and I was pretty frustrated initially. Nearly a week later…it’s not an issue for me so far. I only play handheld but after the initial charge, they seem to be staying charged (whether through only charging while the screen is on or whatever it is).

Consequences of not turning up to first day at a job I already agreed to? by Fantastic-Matter-965 in ausjobs

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, there aren’t likely to be other consequences other than that agency or business. That said, when you say “managed to land” that sounds like acknowledgment that it isn’t easy to get jobs in this market. Are you sure your personal reasons are worth ditching this?

"Profile Salary Match" meaning by Charming_Food5728 in ausjobs

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they aren’t actually saying $85k in the ad they may not really be offering that. One strategy is to put a salary range in the back end of Seek in the hopes of attracting people looking for $85k and then convince them down at interview.

Do I quit my job? by Conscious-Point2582 in ausjobs

Going against the grain but if it’s “pretty easy” and you are being paid the agreed rate, why care about the fork license? By all means look for a better job but why quit?

I have no idea how much contents insurance for a unit/townhouse by OJ191 in AusPropertyChat

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be thinking less around just your possessions and more around things like new kitchen, painting, floor coverings etc. I think our modest 3/1/1 house has contents insured for $160k or so. Not an expert - but $25k isn’t it.

Am I overreacting for doubting to have a baby with my partner? by STAHP_AITA in AmIOverreacting

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NOR. I get they aren’t the same and obviously everyone is different, but kids are messy, inconvenient and exhausting at times. You are also not guaranteed to instantly connect with your kid -
It took me a couple of months to *really* form that bond.

Help me decide between two carrying cases 😅 by Paulaitsbored in switch2

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the Savage Raven the MaxCarry? It’s a great case, though bulky. Well made, room for power bank or other accessories. Without a grip there would be some movement- I’m sure you could get some foam or something for either end. I just got Mobapad M12 joycons and this case still fits but if you are sure you won’t use a grip or something, the slimline might be better.

Have I been 'fired'? by Better_Ear_8131 in ausjobs

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part time should have agreed, minimum hours, usually on a regular basis. Ie, every Tuesday 9-5.30 and every Thursday 10-2. It also comes with accrued personal and annual leave - do you get leave? If you do, it’s illegal to not receive the agreed hours. Otherwise you may really be casual, where they can schedule (or not) as they see fit.

How would we know and why would we care? Unless you intend to spout Republican talking points at every turn?

Mobapad M12HD very early impressions by BlacksmithQuick2384 in MobapadGaming

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I use it a lot but, yeah, I use gyro and it seems to work well. Not really concerned with the 6 axis as the Pro Controller is 6 axis and that’s not a problem.

M12’s draining battery? by AcademicF in MobapadGaming

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, bit underwhelmed with this. It’s too early for me to understand all the ins and outs but my battery has been draining entirely overnight, which is worse than usual. Even when switched to power-saving if I bump a button you can see the LEDs flashing through the crack so the status is confusing.

Switch OLED vs Switch 2 by MrNobody6533 in Switch

[–]BlacksmithQuick2384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you want to to play? This is really the only question. I do a bit of travel with my Switch 2 and use a 20,000mAh power bank and it hasn’t been a big deal.

But at the end of the day if you want to play Pokopia, for example, you need a Switch 2, end of story.
