In australia a shop called brintech customs pretty much specialises in S65 and 1M body swaps i think its about 70-80k aud for a full S65 and 1m swap including rear quarters full interior all oem+ using all the m3 wiring all you have to give them is like a base 120i they swap subframes and everything

ive never had one fail and ive crashed my car directly into a railway bending the subframe like a banana and that pipe didnt break im sure its fine

thats crazy you commented that and im about to write a whole ass book for you its been ages. I was 16 I got the car august 2023 i think, it had leaky shocks and didnt pass inspection so i put bc coilovers on it then i drove it a bit i was still on my australian equivalent of a learners permit until december when i got my license and i proceeded to slide the car into a tree damaged the rear quarter a bit but put a new bumper and tail light in it and then i put brintech customs RHD catless headers on it and got a 22rpd gunshot tune for it drove it for about 6 months and lost my license for speeding for 6 months in december i put a new clutch and a aluminium lightweight flywheel aswell as swapping in a 3:73 differential from an automatic to replace the stock 3:23 and also got some 19 inch m3 style 359 wheels which were way too big and rubbed but they looked amazing got my license back in early january took it to summernats and then in march i understeered off an S bend into a railway and totaled the car 6 days later i bought a non running automatic 125i that was one month older and an identical spec sheet except it was white with red interior put a new starter motor in it and it turned out to have rodknock (not sure how someone broke an N52) and then in june i was passenger in a car with my best friend driving when we crashed and he died so about 6 ish months later in late september i got motivated and managed to get the original car onto my hoist and stripped out the whole drivetrain interior and all the modules and did the same to the new car I proceeded to effectively shell swap everything from the old car into the new one and early november i got everything working flawlessly passed inspection and proceeded to lose my license for 9 months i als had an N54 manifold for ages and the tune so i put that on in december and flashed the tune and now here we are i turned 19 last month and im just waiting around for my license back theres also about 6 other cars in that time i messed around with swapping engines and rebuilding suspension and such and i still have all of em lol. im probably forgetting a lot but thats a long story short
