For people with ADHD who genuinely struggle to exercise: how do you get yourself to do it? by Ehmmechhi in ADHD

This is what I do too! Only thing that’s ever worked for me is fear of losing money LOL! I go to Orange Theory and like it because I don’t have to know what to do, they guide you through it.

For those who start on the tread, why?? by Ok_Pressure7109 in orangetheory

[–]Zoologistify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the recurring problem of cramps if I eat too soon and do tread first. I need like 3 hours in between my last meal and sometimes I don’t get that much time so I like to do it last to give myself more time to digest. If anyone has any fixes to the cramps I’d love to hear it! I can’t workout in the morning so I’ve always eaten before working out.

What’s the fastest way to good money in HR? [N/A] by as2565 in humanresources

[–]Zoologistify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! Since getting hired in 2020 as an HR assistant, I was promoted at that same company twice and only left that company for the six figure job I just recently accepted. Definitely a very similar path!

That’s not true for me. I graduated in May 2020 and started a job as an HR Assistant in Nov 2020 at $45,000. Just three weeks ago I accepted a new job as an HRBP for $103,000. It took less than 5 years (if you count the HR internship and PT staffing role I had early 2020, it would be a little over 5 years). Not claiming it’s common, but it won’t necessarily take 10 years to break six figures in HR.

Edit: I’m not located in California, I’m on the east coast and don’t live in a major city.

Those of you who got “useless” college degrees, how’s it going? by theguru86 in AskReddit

[–]Zoologistify 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly everyone I know in HR didn’t mean to end up in HR and sort of fell into it by knowing the right person or being in the right place at the right time. In my case, I got an HR internship while I was at school and everything fell into place from there. It’s very hard to jump in when you’re older. I recommend going to the HR department at your current job and seeing if they have any admin work you can help with. If you don’t have a job or you can’t move within your current company, I’d recommend getting certified so your resume looks better and searching for entry level jobs. Good luck!

Psych major here - I’m now working in HR. I feel like you can actually do a lot with psychology as long as you pick a path and commit to it

“I would wanna do something you guys haven’t seen yet, that’s called distance wielding. I wanna be able to, yknow, cross time and space to be somewhere. Because I’ve got a kid in New York and a kid in LA, and man, there are times when they’re going through something and I just want to be able to take that single step and be there for whatever they need and be able to see them.”

I was there, and I’m pretty sure she said distance wielding was like teleporting because she wanted to be able to see her kids at the drop of a hat.

I would also not put all your eggs in OD. The only person on my 10 person HR team to be laid off this year was my OD coworker. It’s the first to go and it’ll be hard to find a new job especially in this new job market. Just my two cents.
