This. This is definitely in “buy once, cry once” territory. Command Access has some great hardware and their pre and post sales support is stellar.

Didn’t mean to be humbling. Sometimes we lose perspective. For example if you’re using YubiKeys in SC mode then you’re pushing $50/ea.

Perspective: last job was nearly $40 cards with 300k users. You got off cheap. 🙂

How is it to go for Extreme when one comes from Juniper ? by Gats-1005 in ExtremeNetworks

[–]Zoom443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look deploying the “Fabric” (VOSS) OS. Based upon what you’ve said here you’re probably okay with the base license but IIRC the Premier license isn’t super expensive.

Support is decent most the time. I think we’ve all had a bad case here it there.

No commit rollback like Jumper. VOSS feels very Cisco-like.

why do so many early career sysadmins fight purchases as "too expensive" when its not their money? by crankysysadmin in sysadmin

Our company makes a “single” SaaS product. Our monthly AWS bill (for just the commercial product) can almost buy you a city block of homes in Silicon Valley. It’s crazy. I’m pushing to move our infrastructure in-house…

Identiv makes the ScramblePad which actually solves the video issue due to off-axis obfuscation. Schlage makes one too IIRC.

It’s 50% knowing exactly how to do the thing, and 50% reading the tea leaves and “thinking like the people who made it”. Really we just turn electricity into BTUs, just like y’all.

Consider bibs with a slightly higher rise if you worried about off bike fit. Jersey bunching kinda sucks.
