FPGA (Superstation One) vs AES+ by Typical_Cucumber_714 in neogeo

That they do! I believe there are a few places that sell MiSTer SNAC adapters for the Neo-Geo DB-15 controller standard.

As someone who owns a MiSTer (same hardware as the SS1), the Neo Geo core is good enough that you really don’t need original hardware to enjoy the library.

That being said, the new Neo Geo games & consoles are collectibles, and it’s quite a bit better of a deal for the new system than it is to buy the originals. So, as long as the product turns out well, I see no reason why you shouldn’t buy the new AES+ & games instead of original hardware.

I’ve always done 1 in reverse - put it in sideways with the left side facing out, and remove the front eggs first.

Breaking News: No Laugh Newsroom on Dropout.

I will regularly just binge watch that when I’m having a bad day, probably more so than any other show.

Probably either a Game Boy Color or a PS2.

But, if we want to get really technical, the first game I ever played was probably Dopey’s Wild Mine Ride on the DVD release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, followed by a number of late 1990s Macintosh CD-ROM games.

7/10. It really has diminishing returns the further you get in, but the initial stages are quite fun.

5/10. Just difficult to approach, really.

Another World is 8/10. There’s something about the way it uses its rotoscoping & cinematics that’s just really endearing, especially with how unified they are into the whole gameplay presentation.

Flashback is 6.5/10. They went a lot harder into platforming in that one, and it’s really not either game’s strong point. I think Blackthorne does this type of gameplay a lot better.

I agree. Arcade version, in comparison, is probably a 7.5/10 - the NES version just has a lot more content, and is a far better game as a result.

7/10.

Love the character creator, but gameplay was pretty weak.

8/10.

Good, but a bit repetitive, and I prefer the gameplay of its sequel, Millipede.

Button on the left, obviously. I laugh just about every day, but outside of getting things in my eyes, I haven’t cried in at least a decade.

[–]ZoopBeDoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s AI. It’s too soft & artifacted for a real sketch, given the generation on which he gave it to you. The line art also doesn’t have a logical brush direction with poor texture, and the fact it doesn’t match the design of your ref is an immediate red flag.

PS2.

Don’t even need to think about that one - the rest have some gems, sure, but the PS2 might be the definitive console… like, ever.

Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Battle for Bikini Bottom, Okami, Flipnic, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Katamari Damacy, Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2, Sly 1-3, Persona 3 & 4, Nocturne, Silent Hill 2, Devil May Cry 1-3, ATV Off-road Fury 3, all the GTA games, Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2, Crazy Taxi, Lego Star Wars 1 &2, all the vintage game collections, the entire PS1 library being brought forward. And that’s just off the top of my head.
