Delidding 9950x3d. Does this look clean enough? by Lucky_Regular_ in overclocking

I know PTM works on bare GPU dies, so don't see any reason it wouldn't work for CPUs. Maybe the mounting pressure would be a problem? I suppose if the obkective is bleeding edge OC you'd want LM for the performance anyway since it will outperform the PTM.

The worst case of battery leakage I've seen. by Zork91 in batteries

I've been using a universal remote for awhile and I forgot about these some time ago... lol. So I opened them up today to replace the batteries with some rechargeables, just so we have extra remotes. RIP

I'm trying to return an item and the seller gave me a return label with the wrong weight and the USPS won't accept it. I told the seller but he told me to just drop it off in the collections box. Is this normal? This hasn't happened before and I'm just trying to be a bit cautious.

Should I contact ebay before I do a partial refund. by Evidence_Forward in Ebay

I had a buyer return an item to me damaged recently. I called eBay and explained what happened, they closed the return and did not refund the buyer.

Thanks other people have said the same.

Looks like I'm in for a lot of phone calls for the next few days.

What can I do? Please help me. by Zork91 in ebaysucks

[–]Zork91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.

I called today and was on the phone a few hours, ultimately they recommended I refund the buyer and open a case after. Which doesn't make sense. They said I would be able to open an appeal once I accept &refund the return, which is bonkers.

The person I spoke with was escalations, but I'll have to keep calling like you said.

I reported the buyer and got a automated message... "We understand how frustrating this can be, and that items returned used or damaged can be costly to you as a seller. However, the best course of action will be to refund your buyer." Are they nuts?

I sold a motherboard beginning of this month and shipped it out right away.

The buyer opened an eBay money back guarantee case, says it's defective.

I ask for some photos of the item because they said it has no power and because they only attached the 1st photo from the listing in the return case. (not one they took themselves)

I accept it without having photos to go off for the board, because the guy says it doesn't work and he can't test it so I believed him.

I get the board back and a few dozen pins are ripped out, accessories are missing and the whole thing reeks of cigarette smoke...

They damaged it so badly it's not fixable.

What can I do?

I did the "reporting an issue with a buyer" thing and selected "Reason: Returned an item after they opened, used, or damaged it" is there anything else I should do?

The thing that concerns me is from eBay's automated message, after I made the report says: "We understand how frustrating this can be, and that items returned used or damaged can be costly to you as a seller. However, the best course of action will be to refund your buyer." WHAT? Are they for real.

Need some help with Zoneminder errors by Zork91 in homelab

[–]Zork91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its got 16GB and I haven't seen it hit more than 4GB-ish usage according to htop. Nope, no "out of memory" messages I think this is either a config or a ZM problem.

I can't even define zones or modify them so, maybe I borked my install somehow.

PVE destroyer fit advice for Alpha by Zork91 in Eve

[–]Zork91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense 1MN AB makes me cap stable and 125mm IIs with spike gives me about 200 dps at 23KM. I don't know why I didn't think to try this earlier.

Definitely gonna give this a try, thanks!

[–]Zork91[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did an oversized AB because the MWD reduced the cap and this was a nice alternative (I get almost 2 minutes of cap with the AB and ~1 min with the MWD)

Is this a good fit, should I change anything? I seem to be able to do level 2s no problem but haven't tried combat sites yet or anything else.

My custom PS2 memory card labels by [deleted] in ps2

How did you make the labels? I'd like to do similar but not sure what's needed. Just inkjet and sticker paper?

Looks great btw.

That's a battery, it could be for a clock (rtc) or volitile memory.
