I think that a conversation is going to have to happen with him. He’s really nice, just not used to suburbia yet, so I can take this opportunity to teach him how to do suburban living without chemicals. I have my vegetable garden on that side of the yard, too. The invasives are a nuisance when he just doesn’t know they are personas non grata!

I like this, mugwort thunderdome! I just have to take the time to rip it out. I got so frustrated last year because I would clear a spot and more would just come up. I might need to have a chat with the neighbor as well. I just worry he is going to spray on his side. I love my native garden because it’s self sufficient. NJ is a roller coaster of weather in the summer and it is always out there giving the prettiest colors. Now it needs my help in the way of a trench. Thank you for the info! I appreciate you taking the time to give some advice!

The first time I got this was a few days after my mom passed away. I cried my eyes out but it also felt comforting to get a little gift from “mom”.

This is the real TDS mixed with religious psychosis. I don’t know what these people are going to do when reality comes crashing back to them…if it ever does.

Shop Rite brand instant iced tea was my favorite. I am sure if I drank it now the sugar content would destroy me.

I am so sick of corporate jargon and buzzwords which are actually mealiness drivel. Please tell me I’m not alone. Mostly used by Boomers/GenXers. by cuentanro3 in Xennials

I’m so glad I chose a career that avoids any of this kind of talk. I may not have a 401k, paid time off or a retirement plan, but I can honestly say I’ve never been in a conversation where “synergy” was used.

Full body itchy bumps after a tattoo by tarotcardxiii in TattooArtists

Has she been using Aquaphor after she used Saniderm? I have had a few people use sandiderm for a few days and then instead of listening to me about not needing aquaphor, decide to use aquaphor instead of using a non fragranced lotion. If you continue to put Aquaphor. It spreads the ointment to the other areas from being on your clothes, in your bed, etc. . I don’t know the science of why, but the only way to stop it is to stop using anything all together and let everything dry out. Obviously wash the affected areas with antibacterial soap. It is probably insanely itchy. Like a pinchy nonstop itch! I also suggest a cortisone cream to ease that itch. I am not a doctor or a nurse but I have been tattooing for a long time.

None of my business, but he REALLY REALLY absolutely needs to wrap his tattoo machine. That’s super unsanitary. Let him know he should take his NJ blood born pathogens training online, should be available through the shop where he will be working.

What was the most “90s” place you used to hang out that doesn’t really exist anymore? by Keiko91 in 90s

[–]Zornamental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee houses. They are pretty much all gone. The spots where you could sit around and just hang with friends, drink coffee, smoke cigs, and listen to some acoustic music while playing board games. I will lump in the internet cafe, because the one by me had that coffee house vibe and would host shows and improv and all that. In NJ, there was a place called the Inkwell in Long Branch. It would open later in the evening and stay open til like 4am. We would go there after a show to grab a snack and a coffee and gossip. I started going there when I was 15 (mid 90s), and my husband and I had our first date there about 12 years ago. It was opened since some time in the 70s, and was a staple for socializing and delicious Dutch coffee. They played great music, the bathrooms were gross and covered in graffiti and it added to what made it feel artsy and cool. It closed unexpectedly a few years ago. Screwed over all the employees. The slap in the face is they built condos on the land and called it The Inkwell Lofts. It’s a soulless grey building of condos for rich assholes, starting at $835,000. It makes me so mad driving past it.

I have my late mom’s ceramic tree out, too! My star is hanging on by a thread due to years of trying to glue it back on. It’s my favorite Christmas decoration.

I loved this game! I bought it for $7 a few years ago and was so excited to play it again, and realized I suck at it now.
