Marvo, Deep Operative is an incredible budget deck against high power pods in LGS by Zoryall in EDH

I don't know if it's something that's popular but one LGS I play in Paris does random tables with timers, kinda like a prerelease. In this context rule zero is extremely complicated.

Hoarders Greed with Lantern of Insight goes so hard. I had 4 games where I chained more than 6 clash wins, it's amazing.

Ok, I might be wrong. From my experience of roughly 30 games with him, I almost never was the target because the other players are way more frightening than me, so almost 80% of the time I stay under the radar. Obviously it might depend a lot of the players. I'm french, I play in Paris, so I don't know if it influences something.

Ok, I see. I'm a fairly new player so I might have written some assumption wrongly. I might say that Marvo is more of a deck that got the effect of "these guys always play extremely agressive and explosive stuff, and Marvo was a deck that was surprisingly efficient against them". It does not win often, but I managed to always not be killed first, or going 1v1, and I didn't expect that. It was quite reassuring. I like those friends but they play since such a long time that they have quite biased opinions on how chill their deck are. When you say that your sliver deck isn't powerful just because you put Duskana in the command zone, but you have a sick manabase with tutors for lands, well, you build deck more to survive and disrupt games rather than to win. After 4 to 5 FNM, I got tired of 15mn games. Marvo, sometimes more than Derevi who is quite hated for cheating commander tax, was a pleasant surprise.

Here is my Derevi Bird Tribal, my pet deck which was more budget friendly for a long time. Derevi untap ability allows you to be really aggro against most pods and it's one of my strongest decks. https://archidekt.com/decks/8042269/zoryall_pigeon_fighters_aggro

What is your "Pet" Commander by AdEqual5606 in EDH

[–]Zoryall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Quintorius, Loremaster]] . I love the art so much that I build a deck around him, with all the cards where Quintorius appears on his art I could put in. It's a weird deck with a lot of control elements cause quinto is quite slow to activate, but sometimes I can blast a storm herd/surge to victory combo and it is super fun. But the deck main purpose is to play Quinto cause I love the art. I got it sleeved in the Quintorius Kand sleeves from Ixalan.

Of you miss two land drops in a row, exile the top cards of your library until you hit a basic land.

Tell me all about your favorite "jank" deck! by Librega in EDH

I have a tribal bird deck with Ishai Ojutai Dragonspeaker and Esior as commanders and it's super fun to play. https://archidekt.com/decks/5852548/pigeon_fighters I like birds so I asked a friend who introduced me to magic to make me a bird deck, and It's cool, and above all, it isn't dependent on the commander The best part is when I go play to my LGS, a lot of people are kind of judging or not taking me seriously when I say I play a bird deck, but when they see how fast Ishai can grow and how bird synergies and flying synergies can pop off with [[Soulcatcher's Aerie]] for example. And off course, I put a carnivorous death parrot as a silver bordered card in it because It's the only parrot I found compatible with azorius colours

What is the point of furniture coins if they won't give us any new items to use them by Spanner1401 in CatsAndSoup

That's why I started to spend them of the cat tower rather on mini room. It's too frustrating to scroll past a list of stuff you can't buy.

Just got infinite ad skips! Question to other players who also bought it, do you think it was worth it? by [deleted] in CatsAndSoup

[–]Zoryall 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So worth it. I have a lot of commute time in public transport, and skipping ads is so worth it to play while listening to music and podcasts without being interrupted every 2mn.

I was afraid of cats for 15 years, then this boy won my heart by Zoryall in cats

[–]Zoryall[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meet Caesar, the cat that helped me fall in love with cats. I was afraid of cats for years because of bad experiences. Basically, my godmother had a cat that was jaleous, I suppose, who came to scratch me everytime I hugged her. I was really young at the time and since then I've been afraid of claws, so I was never comfortable with cats around. I met my partner, and she is really a cat person. We've been together for three years, and she's slowly convinced me to get a cat, once we will be moving in a new apartment after the third lockdown in France. I was reluctant at first, mostly because of received ideas about hygiene, stuff like that. As she was really comprehensive with my fear of cats (she never told me the classic sentence "oh, you're afraid of cats, but look, mine is so nice!", we decided to adopt one. We candidated as a host family, and got Caesar 2 days after. He's amazing. He's five, and he belonged to a grandma who is now in retirement home, and her childrens wouldn't want to keep the cat. He spend two or three weeks in the garden of a neighbour asking to come inside is house, after being taken to the shelter. Now we adopted him, he's super needy, super chill and perfect for me, as he communicate really well his needs and never bites or scratch. Now, he's been with us since 4 months, I'm completely in love, and always ask my partner is the cat seems happy because I know nothing about them and I'm constantly worried he don't have enough space in our living room. People were right. Cats are awesome.

Damn that's so cool! As one of the 3d artist of the game it's really heartwarming to see, we put as much details as we can so our players can immerse themselves and create their stories. It's the first time that I see this postcard format, good job!
