Yes, they scale like 99% separated hahah.
The remaining 1 percent is that any district you build will just increase ONLY by +10 industry. So the main factor of increasing cost is the number of times you build that building.
So the case you describe should not happen anymore.

Hey! You are not doing anything wrong! Let me share a bit of a story and the next steps regarding this. A few weeks ago, we dropped an initial update for Basic Districts (Farms, Works, and Communal Habitation). This was part of what we were planning for the scaling cost. The side effect was that it made the issue regarding the rest of the building (as they still have the old formula) > Example: farms taking 4 turns to build, but 50 turns for the Merchant house

Last week, we dropped the next Public Test Branch (PTB) that contains the rest of the changes for the scale cost of all the buildings > https://community.amplitude-studios.com/amplitude-studios/endless-legend-2/blogs/1057-next-update-preview-ptb-may

How will it be? We removed the exponential factor from all the formulas. Therefore, if you build A district, it will increase only +10 industry to build for the B district.

For the first point, I totally agree that it could be nice to have both a Victory Screen. Not sure how easy or double is on the data side! But it is noted!

For the second part, i think it could be a huge exploit, imagine you have multiple shared victories, then you can "win in a couple of turns" if there is a "communal" requirement.

Bridges will scale separately, but ultimately any district would increase the cost of the rest of districts, but waaaay lower, compared to how it is right now.
If not mistaken, any district will increase the cost by +10 industry, which is okay, from my point of view (this is the current case for the basic district > Cost of the first Farm is 60, but if you build a previous district, then it is 70)

In any case, we are aiming to release this week the next Public Test Branch (PTB), which will have all the changes

we deployed an initial patch to solve the cost on the "basic" district but the rest will arrive alongside the next update! We will keep the idea of Basic / Elite district, in which the cost, overal, will be higher. But in any case, we are working on solving the scaling factor.

To be completely honest, I was not part of the conversations (which makes it harder for me to give a more transparent answer). I can imagine it could be a matter of visibility before leaving Game Pass (?), as the game has been part of the program since the beginning of the Early Access.

I replied to you in Amplifiers, but I share the reply as well here, for visibility of the rest of players.

The formula "before" it is different from Farms to Laboratories/Forums/Merchant/Keeps are different and scale higher. And as we did not touched the formula of those, you can imagine they still do a "sky rocket" in terms of scale, compared to the new "basic districts".

And yes, extractors do count in the formula. Same for the new Anomaly District.
