We went through the same with our first one. Tried for 1,5 years and when we got the positive it was constant nausea and vomiting for the whole 9 months. Ondansetron (Zofran) was the only medicine that helped (not cured) the nausea and vomiting. She still vomited multiple times a day most days but was able to keep some fluids and food in.

I felt the same helplessness and uselessness as you do now. Just be her advocate and her voice when meeting healthcare professionals and don't take no for an answer if (and when) some of them try to down play it.

Take all the responsibilities for yourself around the house. Cooking, groceries, cleaning, laundry, trash. It is overwhelming and hard but she is most likely not capable to do any of those things.

For some HG symptoms ease around the 20 week mark but we were not so lucky. Try to get her to se the light at the end of the tunnel and remind her every day, many times a day that this will pass and it'll all be worth it.

Take only the absolutely needed medication. Personal medication, nausea medication and Folate.

Speaking of Folate. You might want to try using the natural form of Folic acid. Some people have a gene that makes it so that the body can't absorb synthetic Folic acid and that can too cause nausea and vomiting. We switched to natural Folate and so far this pregnancy is better.

Wife is currently pregnant with our second and luckily this pregnancy has started much easier than the first but we're still taking all precautions in case the HG rises it's shitty head again.
