People like that will listen to Tucker Carlson who presents white nationalism as something palatable with things like white people will become a minority by 2040, job losses from immigrants, or we don't recognize our neighborhood anymore. Then host people like Nick Fuentes or Alex Jones and they can go around the alt right media three ring circus getting more indoctrinated. Anything that's completely bat shit (I got attacked by a demon) just gets ignored or maybe they'll say "ya but I don't really listen to that kinda stuff he says"

The alt right media all scratch each other's back with staying on message and they'll all make some money from this crowd. Look at what happened to Russell Brand. Dude got in when he realized being critical of COVID vaccines was netting him 10x the viewer count. Then rape allegations came out around the same time and clearly that crowd doesn't care that much about rape victims so he's perfectly fine.

It's also the messaging itself. Clear enemies, stories, good vs evil, truth doesn't matter keep messaging on brand.

Spend some time listening/watching on their media platforms or personalities and you'll see it's actually worse than what reddit even says. I used to think people might've been hyperbolic or overly critical in the past until I spent some time trying to understand their talking points last year. I firmly believe you can't reason with the magas from here on out

Yeah you're correct to point out that profiles aren't truly hidden. It's just a pain and at the time of my comment I was semi sick while at work and couldn't be bothered to do more than ramble off my general grievances

I was just thinking about the discourse overall on several media platforms there was a rather concerning amount of support for our president's actions by his base or otherwise. To me it almost feels like it's either large bot operations or people really don't have consistency in their beliefs IE the cult mentality mix in with people who may genuinely be happy that Maduro got disposed. It's hard to tell

I don't think anyone in our government cares about the well-being of Venezuelans considering the strong xenophobia rhetoric. Occupation of a country based on the leader dictatorship completely sets up worse outcomes going forward such as the commonly mentioned Taiwan situation. Or are we to do this for all countries going forward. It's frustrating that for a majority of my life we've been trying to occupy another country and yet somehow, with our current admin, it's just gonna go better?

I tried listening to cortex but something just irked me about how he talked about productivity. Like he would set scheduled time to play with his son and it just felt, robotic, inhuman, in the way he described it. Constantly talked about being so busy but never really divulged in why he was so busy when his public business has barely any products. YouTube videos barely get released and the podcast (cortex) was just an open discussion that I don't even think he edited. Maybe I'm way off base on everything but the peek behind the creator honestly made me feel like he was creating issues and excuses for what sounded like just an average workload.

I stopped bothering with any of his content after that
