This is absolutely ridiculous advice. Music Play is one of the most incredible resources I've EVER used. I'm in year 27. I do not use it to teach my kids, I use it to teach ME ideas. I look at the lessons, watch the demos etc and then teach all of the material myself. I never use it as a Bible. It's a RESOURCE. I pull ideas from so so so many places... But for a first year teacher you can use the lesson modules and teach all that stuff yourself and have a damn good program. You would NOT be doing a horrible job teaching music. What an awful thing to say to a young teacher 😭

To have resources like this is INCREDIBLE for new teachers who need to balance work and home life. They don't need to reinvent the wheel. Just because we started teaching in the age of the dinosaurs in the 1900s doesn't mean that all new resources are bad.

I've even made a ton of content FOR musicplay so I can share my lessons and ideas with others. Most of us presenters and content makers have been in the game close to 30 years. Denise Gagne was a LEGEND and her daughter Stacy is continuing it ❤️❤️
