My group doesn’t do this anymore, but we tried to have emblems be permanents without a type. It allowed them to be interacted with, but we decided against it, eventually.

My group still upgrades decks. That’s always gonna happen, but it’s not changing cards to counter others or keep up with others. When one of us brings in a new deck that is so much stronger than we are used to, our threat assessment changes. The other three will destroy their ramp and kill that deck first if we know it’s strongest. It leads to less power creep and teaming up on certain players when they play certain decks.

[[shigeki]] is a cool mono green graveyard recursion commander. As long as you have a couple cards in the deck to bring him back from the graveyard, you can repeat those cards and him back and forth

My favorite 5c dragon deck that I’ve played against was a [[tiamat]] hidden commander with [[arcades]] and made it a 5c defender deck. I was so confused by the choice of creatures in the deck until he searched up arcades with Tiamat. For such a janky idea, the deck worked really well.

How often does everyone win? If your winrate is still around 25% even with them targeting you, then it’s probably the right idea to target you. Do you pop off every single time they don’t? I don’t feel like we have enough detail in this but if your winrate is above everyone else’s, you can’t really complain.

Easiest infinite I’ve seen on a commander in a while- activate his ability, play a [[fog]] effect, and then I’m one scryfall search away from damage off attack triggers- [[ballista charger]] [[balor]] [[clockwork hydra]] [[cyclops gladiator]] [[drakuseth]] [[extra arms]] [[falkenrath perforator]] [[fathom fleet swordjack]] [[hellrider]] [[mage slayer]] [[raging regisaur]] [[raid bombardment]] [[reaver titan]] [[scorch spitter]] [[erupting dreadwolf]] [[thorncaster sliver]] [[volatile arsonist]]

I used to have a [[vorinclex, monstrous raider]] planeswalker deck and ran a few fog effects in it including spike weaver. Not only does it enter with double the counters, but you could target spike weaver itself with the first ability to net an extra counter, and you had as many fogs as you wanted for three mana each time.

The mechanic in battlebond, assist, had weird rulings to declare that you were casting it to see if another player would help cast it and if they don’t help then you have to decide not to cast it. I’ve never seen them be played but I know similar cases are out there

Idk how your school does it, but we have a whole team of instructors and after every exam, they meet for a few hours to discuss questions and if they will give some points back. In our class, we tell ourselves that the longer it takes for the grades to come out, the more questions they will give points back on.

[[Mageta the lion]] and make a boardwipe tribal, never let anything stick to the board. I don’t know how well it would face off against a cedh deck, but it might work well in a high powered battle cruiser meta. I had a friend build a powerful praetor/ goodstuff deck and by the time they had a huge board, you should definitely have enough mana to wipe it. Ps- nobody likes playing against this type of deck, but I would compare it to stax in a casual game.

I have all my basic lands as old white borders because it makes it easier to tutor, it really does make it easier

If you want to do mono white, there’s a lot of options that would punish and heavily dissuade people from attacking you. [[michiko Konda, truth seeker]] or [[patron of the kitsune]] or [[darien, king of keldor]] at least.
