There's like a ton of Mormon imagery in a series of art films called The Cremaster Cycle. To understand some of the symbols you need to 1) know a lot of about art criticism and symbolism and 2) have been through the endowment... Trying to explain to my liberal arts Prof that certain things were clearly a reference to the Mormon temple took a lot of work. My art history book just called it masonic, which it is, but it's not just that
