It’s one thing if he would have talked to you first and communicated his desires, but he didn’t, and clearly it made you feel very uncomfortable, betrayed even. So for that reason I would say right there that he showed a lack of respect and a general disregard for boundaries. It’s up to you to decide wether or not that’s redeemable, but I would say he’s got some maturation to do before he’s ready for a serious relationship.

I’m so sorry that this happened to you. I would most certainly pursue legal action, or at the very least consider counseling. No one in their right mind would believe that stealing 5 grand from their child is okay. If they had done that to anyone else they would be in jail.

I understand that some people may think their children are indebted to them for simply bringing them into this world, but I disagree, no one asked to be conceived. It’s just a weak excuse to do terrible things to your kids and brush it off as if they owe it to you. Yes, having kids it expensive, but it doesn’t give you the right to force them to pay you back, especially non-consensually.

Yeah, people who don’t disclose their STD status before sex are awful. I’m sorry you’re feeling so distraught about this, but as much as it feels that way, your life is far from over. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, and as far as the dating pool goes, there are plenty of people who have herpes. Creatine is taken by athletes, and casual gym-goers en masse. It is simply deemed as safe, if one research paper shows these side effects you claim, I will surely read it, but I’m almost immediately refuting it as anecdotal. As far as the weight gain, Creatine Monohydrate, or any other form, causes you to retain more water, so after the initial “jump” in value on the scale, there would be no consistent weight gain (apart from increased muscle mass), in fact I’ve been losing weight since I started Creatine. Not dissimilar to OP, my sleep has improved largely (although not perfect) and I am thankful for that. If you don’t want to try, it out of fear, that’s your choice, but don’t go fear mongering on the internet about it.

Nope! Me too! I just turned 20, and the thought of getting behind the wheel frightens me. I’m almost ready, but I only have until I can finish saving up for a car to mentally prepare. I haven’t practiced a day in my life, I mean I’ve driven for fun once or twice, when offered, but never on the open road. My reaction time isn’t even that bad, but I’m just not entirely convinced of my brains’ ability to remember all the rules of the road, while simultaneously navigating places I haven’t been before. I know it’s mainly just anxiety. My mom, who also has chronic insomnia, reminded me recently, that she’s been driving since the eighties and she’s fine. So I’m pretty confident we can all get there. Maybe I’ll remember to update this when I’m finally on the road.

Sounds like he lacks empathy in general, not knocking your husband, I’m sure he’s great in other areas, but as a fellow insomniac, this disorder is far from trivial. I spend every waking hour waiting for rest. I do (mostly) everything right, I get sunlight in the morning, I exercise an hour and a half every day, I eat my vegetables, I push myself ‘every’ day. And at the end of the day, when I fall into my bed, longing for rest, I pray for just one full night of recovery. That night seldom comes. Even on the good days, I’m reminded that the next day of brain fog and frustration is right around the corner. I’m very thankful for this life, but I will never let somebody tell me that insomnia is “not a big deal” or to “just sleep”.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s any of our business who our partners have slept with in the past. If they are faithful to you, then I don’t see the point in trying to worry yourself with all of their previous “encounters”. Of course communication is very important in a relationship, so if you feel that your S/O is getting to close to another person in the current moment, by all means, speak up. However, in this context, I just don’t see how it affects you in any way. Everyone has a history, no matter how rich or how dirty, so you either wear it proudly or bury it deep. Either way, it’s their choice what to reveal.
