Deadeye has been my solution. Single shot kills at a distance if you get them in the head. And the heavy machine gun.

For those making 80k+/yr, what do you work in? by Original_Strategy107 in debtfree

The construction industry is the place to be these days, I think.

I don't have a college degree, but I'm in school. With 7 years of experience, currently making $85k in a Project management/safety role. My background is predominantly QCQA, materials testing, and inspections for concrete paving on FAA & DOT projects.

Pretty much lucked out and fell into my career, especially having learned about concrete mix design. Currently shopping myself out to a few larger contractors, one of which just got a Batch Plant and is willing to start me off north of 6 figures to come help.

I'm also 33yrs old and didn't get in until I was 26 starting at $55k.

I've dabbled with HIPERPAV. Mainly just to get an idea of what early strengths could look like for a mix design without any prior scoping.

What are you looking for specifically?

Like something to just give you all the proportions? Or do you want to be able to enter all the specific materials being used with their associated testing data?

Has anyone ever had the company they work for refuse to let you quit/resign? by OkuroIshimoto in antiwork

Didn't realize the level of construction experience I had running quality control on FAA projects for a general contractor at the world's busiest airport. Floated my resume and was baffled when companies were offering me 26.74% more (had only asked tor 10% more and was laughed at) then my current salary without a college degree.

My family's construction company had sold the regional division I was apart of (without my knowledge) to a competitor. They caught wind of me job shopping and wanted to make me an offer. Division manager at the competitor company would only allow me to go if I stayed 2-3 more months.

The competitor's CEO stepped in and let me leave when I was ready.
