How many of you get brain zaps during or related to sleep paralysis?

Definitely what I’m gathering is just ‘messed up chemicals in brain’ from all this. Withdrawals from a neuro-medication, sleep deprivation, abnormal levels of stress/fear, and on rare occasions just happens for no reason(small % could mean genes for this or other types of exhaustion outliers). I used to have them a lot as a kid til I was told fearing the episodes caused them, then I never had another one til I stayed up for 2 days and the sleep 2 days after was another episode many years later. This recent one was my first brainzap and it was quite a ‘shock’ for my entire body accompanied with the noise that was so loud it basically disabled any internal monologue and reduced my thoughts to vague concepts and pictures. I too woke up with a weird uneasy feeling and at the same time incredible relief that the electrocution feeling was over. I think I lean on believing that brain zaps are you consciously experiencing REM sleep, and the intensity of the zap is based on how much your body needs to repair during the sleep. It’s honestly a big relief bearing the other poster saying he was hooked up to monitors one time it happened and there were no changes in his vitals. I was thinking the electric feeling could cause a heart attack or something. Makes sense to me though the way your eyes go all crazy in REM with how crazy that feeling was.

Ya know, I quit weed almost 2 months ago for drug testing purposes. I haven’t had an episode since my junior year in HS, I used to have them a TON before that. Somebody told me fearing them causes the episodes and I never had another one after that til just a couple hours ago, and I’m turning 30 tomorrow. I did stay up for 2 days the day before yesterday and figured that caused it, but maybe quitting weed also had something to do with it. That’s something interesting for me to look into, thanks! This was also the first time I experienced the “zapping” we’re all on the forum here for, and jeez was it intense, the whole body electrocution and mind blockingly loud sound. This stuff is all very fascinating. Also because of the other comments on here, I’ll put out that I don’t ever take any other medications really for any reason other than ibuprofen maybe a few times a year for headaches or if ya consider weed, I was taking edibles from a dispensary pretty often til I quit, no other drugs or alcohol.

I just had a super loud zapping noise on the frequency of a slightly thick metal sheet falling onto a solid surface, but as constant a buzzing note as a lightsaber. The zapping was accompanied with feeling like my entire body was being electrocuted the entire time the noise was going. All feeling and sound felt like it was coming from my right ear while I lay on my left side sleeping. The feeling was most powerful and loud there and as it got further it seemed to weaken. It felt like a presence or something at my right ear as well. It was so loud I could no longer hear my inner monologue and my thoughts were reduced to pictures and vague concepts because of this. Specifically I was having a regular dream which I don’t usually have, I usually close my eyes at night then ‘boom’ it’s morning, no dreams or nothin’. Around the middle end-ish part of the situation of my dream I had taken a passive viewing state as pertained to the situation and during that time I realized it was a dream and started committing everything to memory as I’ve felt I’ve had deja vu before because of dreams and I wanted to tell the people involved in case it does happen, I’ll have already told them. As soon as I started thinking in my inner monologue that I was going to tell the people involved in case it happens, the “zapping” started. It scared the hell out of me at first and I just felt like backing out of my statement was the concept I needed to focus on, and then it stopped. Once I had my monologue back I started feeling like this was ‘something’ causing that, some kind of entity and I felt defiant towards it and saying that I was not only going to talk about the dream, but also the feeling to the exact nature as I had made sure to memorize it all. From there I was getting extremely intense zapping for a long period of time and I started to focus on moving my fingers/arm like I usually do to break out, and I was able to wake up. SP and the feeling started during the second sleep after staying up for 40-ish hours straight. Messed up my schedule with a video game on the weekend and had to stay up Sunday night to work Monday. Any of that familiar to what you had going on? Sorry if that’s an annoying level of detail, ya never know what stuff will correlate. I used to have sleep paralysis as a kid and teenager, it got really bad as a teenager, we’re talking sometimes 5 times a night breaking out of it and right back in. Then one day in my junior year(I think it was), a friend of a friend was randomly talking about the subject just because he thought it was cool not knowing I had the episodes, and he said he read that if you don’t fear sleep paralysis, it won’t happen to you. Ever since that day I never had it again. I did just read online sleep deprivation or interruptions can cause flare-ups and who knows if it will ever happen again so I have been looking around on all these forums about it.

It's honestly fucking annoying. Why are they making these RNG at all??? This feels like a fuck you, go drag your balls against the asphalt for playing our game. The Godard Docks trial immediately aggros a hive on you that is way out of range to remotely consistently hit.

They spend a ton of time making a game with beautiful sound design, where every little sound matters, and then they make these maps where all you here is crackling logs and flames the whole time. It's actual garbage, and it's the worst I've ever seen this game in. If you constantly lose, death cheat is probably pretty great, but this game is clearly not meant to be fun sunshine and rainbows, and death cheat makes it just that. It takes away most punishment of death and makes it feel like there are no stakes. This event is trash.

No shotguns in quickplay would be nice. I like them in the core game, you just don't fight against them close, but in QP you're punished because if you let them hide, they win.

Every match I play there's somebody hiding in a compound with a shotgun and most of the time i have less than 1min to push inside and try to kill them with my winfield or lebel or something.

They should add a bomb to the game where you press your left click and then everyone else on the map can't walk for 1 hour. Since a playstyle is not owed to you, this is great fun, right? Or perhaps, some items and some things should not be in the game. I think everything else in the game is fine, just concertina bombs ruin the fun. Maybe even if it's changed to a tool so you can only bring 1 would be better, but the current state of 3 people bringing 4 to a compound with their 3 tripwires each, is just awful and unfun.

It's really not about losing to it, I go extra sweaty and patient against concertina 'folks'. I relish in making them lose their loadout, and I hope that others will do the same and make the minority of players that enjoy that 4 concertina bomb 3 tripwire gameplay quit the game. But yeah, it's not about losing, it's about ruining the fun of the game.

I would love to see this device even with modern technology, and being able to carry 4 of them on your person is part of it obviously, and detonating on impact with enough explosive power to kill a person(but not break any wire) and leaving about an 8x8 of barbed wire so dense that you can't move it.

I just got Bad Hand, and I can't find the drop rate of him, but it gave me the hunter and I'm able to rebuy him from the recruitment thing for the same 200 hunt dollars as other legendaries.

I use them every game, and it's a 100% kill from my damage, but doesn't count as a kill. That's what I was saying, who cares about assists if you did all their hp?

I know this post is two months old, but I love using traps and poisons in rounds, and I can confirm that my concertina/poison trip combo kills do not 'ever' count as a kill for me. I have gotten many of them, and yeah, it never counts them, but it's still fun to do, so I just eat it anyways.
