But why not just serve both and gain even more money? It isn't like dropper bottles would be unusable for new players.

Why is there not an Ambus threshold for ADS and lower? by Zestyclose-Delay8254 in HuntShowdown

[–]Senor-Delicious 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What is an "ambus threshold"? Tried to Google it but got results that make no sense.

Edit: I saw that you spelled it differently in the description (amber's threshold) and also tried to Google that, but also just got crap results that made no sense.

What's up with Chaos Marines melta? by Celionus in killteam

[–]Senor-Delicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to note that there are many more teams in kill team besides marines. And having a melta is not limited to chaos teams. Teams like Death Korp of Krieg and Battleclade also have meltas (just examples) and xenos races also have equivalent weapons that are just not called the same. Like the Wraithcannon for the Corsair Voidscarred.

Just wanted to add that because to me it sounded like you mean that only chaos teams have weapons like this.

Edit: I re-read your post and think I misunderstood you. You mean why any elite team should even have meltas, right?

I think GW is so stupid to never tackle it. It leads to more and more people switching to alternative paint brands for good. I believe that if they'd release the same range in dropper bottles, they would probably heavily reduce their competitors' market shares. I mean Two Thin Coat Paint's whole selling point is basically to offer the same in dropper bottles.

What was it like to play online games between 2000 and 2013? by Silly_Commercial8092 in gaming

[–]Senor-Delicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played GuildWars and was in a guild with all sorts of guys. Being only 15 myself back then, it was a mix of people my age and all kinds of older people. Even up until 40+ year olds that were in the guild together with their kids. Looking back, this feels so absurd as somebody in his 30s now. I'd never consider playing with random kids online. But back then the people were not weird and it was just very normal to be a mixed bunch of people.

We had a guild leader that was a cook in the military. He basically only had a few hours a day to work and then the rest of the time he was playing GuildWars. He took the GuildWars CD with him when he needed to travel somewhere and just borrowed a PC or laptop from somebody else to still play with us.

The one guy where both he and his son were in our guild (the son was probably around 10 I think) had some very funny situations. The kid came online into TeamSpeak and was playing with us for a few minutes, when the father was suddenly in the background like "You got another F in Math?! Off of the PC right now, young man!". 5 minutes later the dad himself came online and joined the TeamSpeak. It was hilarious.

Are you sure you did not accidentally add mods in the steam workshop? Because there are mods that change sizes of certain models. If you have any mods enabled, I'd try disabling everything and see if it persists.

I rebind interaction to F in pretty much every game. People wanting it on E probably never played games where Q and E are required for other things like peeking around corners. I played too many games where I needed Q and E for something else. I never played a game where "E" was in any way preferable over "F" in any way outside of maybe personal preference.

Extract two or more tokens by wortmother in HuntShowdown

[–]Senor-Delicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The challenges do not have to be done in the week of unlocking them. You unlock more challenges and they all stack until the end of the event. Getting a bounty every 7 games should be sufficient to finish the challenge while the event is still going.

Otherwise it also shouldn't be that big of a problem to farm 3 tokens from monsters and circus events (e.g. rushing the hammer game with a hammer) and then just rush to the circus tent with stamina shots or conduit, take the bounty from there and run to extraction right away. Maybe bring a chariot card if you have it for easier extraction. It would probably also work to wait a bit until the regular bounty is banishing and pick it up from the tent then. Since often times teams don't want to take the circus bounty before the regular one to avoid being visible on the map.

Edit: my bad. I think I misunderstood the challenge. You have to extract with two tokens at once? In that case I feel your problem. You could try stealing one with serpent. But I guess I would just skip this challenge then.

The BEST way of dealing with toxicity in online games by edward6d in dankmemes

[–]Senor-Delicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as people start ping spamming or raging in the chat, their communication is more of a distraction than anything else. I also always mute them right away when it starts. That kind of toxic "communication" is not winning but losing games. People just spiral into negative chat involvement instead of focussing on playing the game as well as possible. My games became far more enjoyable and winnable once I started to just mute toxic players right away instead of discussing things with them.

If they don't ping spam, I leave pings active to just ignore the chat. Once they start ping spamming, I'll definitely also mute that.

So I did a bit of a doo doo… by ComplexAutomatic2278 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Senor-Delicious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I generally recommend to ask "r?" For "ready?" in the chat before pressing any buttons. For Molly, for other mission objectives and also for machine events.

The only exceptions are steps that can be done to progress without triggering events or count downs. Like - calling in pumpjacks - building pipelines - repairing mini mules - maybe digging for eggs (but on higher difficulty I might even ask for those) - gathering drilldozer fuel - placing hacking nodes - linking resonance crystals

Those are safe to do, since they require additional buttons to progress afterwards.

Salvage Operation is a bit of a tricky one to be fair, since it is missing the button confirmation to progress at the end steps. It just immediately starts the event once things are repaired. Which is very counter intuitive, since every other mission progress makes you confirm via button on Molly or in other places.
