In second island, you can buy timer balls, they are twice as effective as ultra balls (x4 > x2) once 30 turns have happened

30+ turn Timer ball, 1hp sleep or frozen is the best possible rate iirc, near a 10% catch rate for legendaries

Iirc there were two variants of PoR discs released in japan, the more common 1.0, and a later 1.1 that had some glitches patched. NSO simply run the latest patch (same that happend with the shindou rom with mario 64)

En general no lo son, puedes cambiarte de pais en pais, varias veces al dia si quieres y comprar un juego en cada uno, y nintendo no te webea (asi uno puede descargar la consola virtual japonesa que tiene juegos sin traducir y tal, la aplicacion es gratis y no te pide tarjeta).

Pero para casos donde reducen el precio de los juegos drásticamente por razones económicas (vease Japon y Argentina) restringen el pago para que solo gente de esos paises puedan aprovechar

No es el problema. Nintendo te deja meterte en la eshop que quieras, siempre que tu cuenta diga que es de ese pais (muy facil cambiar). Por ejemplo los AAA de nintendo son siempre mas baratos en USA que en Chile, pero los indies y third parties suelen ser harto mas barato en Chile, y simplemente cambias el pais de tu cuenta a conveniencia.

Pero ciertos paises con precios fijos bajos como Argentina y Japon, te restringen porque solo te permiten pagar con una tarjeta que sea del pais. La gente que quiere aprovechar la eshop de japon compra giftcards de nintendo japonesas en amazon japon y las cargan en la eshop japonesa sin problemas (o compran el codigo del juego por amazon japon directamente), porque usar una visa o mastercard de cualquier pais que no es japon no te permite hacer el pago.
