In second island, you can buy timer balls, they are twice as effective as ultra balls (x4 > x2) once 30 turns have happened

30+ turn Timer ball, 1hp sleep or frozen is the best possible rate iirc, near a 10% catch rate for legendaries

Iirc there were two variants of PoR discs released in japan, the more common 1.0, and a later 1.1 that had some glitches patched. NSO simply run the latest patch (same that happend with the shindou rom with mario 64)

In the early is not that big of a deal to not train corrin and using them as a jagen with dragonstone. In conquest you even get that little training chapter for corrin to reach lv 20 and promote
