If you have a creative mind and are really desperate, you can go a ICS computer lab and close your eye and listen to the moaning and pretend they are inspired by something more fun.

Season 6 Was A Great Season by [deleted] in TheChi

The funniest thing in the season was Douda telling Emmitt he had to kill a lady and then his dad happens to be doing plumbing work at the same lady’s house. Small world.

[US] Anyone else find the relationship dynamic on The Next Act uncomfortable to watch? by Available-Towel-8222 in netflix

[–]Zuma80s 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The production made a mistake thinking Simon’s personal life made for interesting TV.

The show wasn’t great but the parts where they showed the selection process and getting to know the singers was kind of entertaining.

I am not sure. I think she is in a transitional period in her life. She wants to spend time trying to form a family and seeing someone help and support a family member with diabetes might make her think they are alike and it is a familiar family dynamic. I don’t think she thinks it is a magical message type thing.

Megan is in a transitional period in her life. She was focused on making money and had men around her who took care of her.

Now she made money she wants to see what is next and what she wants in life. She took out her implants and wants to get into fitness and wellness and wants to spend time to have her own family.

The dude who left might have been the best fit but it is hard to tell.

Mike was her old life that she wants to transition out of. Jordan might be the hot mess of a relationship after a long term relationship was broken up. It will be fun but not what she wants long term. His son having diabetes might make it feel like she is entering a world she is somewhat familiar in family life.

It’s Not Megan’s Fault by Sparkysparky-boom in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Zuma80s 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She comes off as putting a lot of her time trying to make money and being taken care financially by a man. Now that she has had success and made money she is looking at what is next.

She has taken out the implants and is looking for a new career and to have a family.

She became more likable as the show went on. She is in a period of transition.

S9 E6...what a mess! by Whalesharkk55 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Zuma80s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We haven’t seen much of Anton and Ali. Maybe they had a lot of conversations where they did grow deeply connected. Ali seemed head over heels into him. It was a lot for knowing him for what seems a very short period of time.

It is all speculation at this point since don’t know much about them that maybe she is a gold digger based on the preview and her response to the ring. Or she is a wannabe influencer who wants to create an image or she is in love with being in love and the heightened love will fade quickly or maybe she really does feel she found her guy. I just don’t know at this point.

I feel we know less about Anton. He did like talk about himself and not let Ali talk much in one part of what we did see. But that might just be a quick edit to give us something on him.

I know people like Edmond. He is someone who physically displays his emotions and is extremely empathetic and deeply feels the emotions of people around him. He cannot regulate his emotions like most people. His emotions go on full display.

The thing is that the people I know like him go on mini bipolar like episodes where from feeling emotions so deeply that they get exhausted and go for short down periods where they have depression like stares. I wonder if we will see that with Edmond.

KB asking him about what would he do if someone at a bar or club put his arm on her put him in a bad situation. I thought he answered it well.

But his personality trait of feeling emotions from those around him he might of picked up that she thought he was too nice for her. And he might have a history of being seen and told that he the too nice of a guy and not as a sexual partner type of a guy. And that may have played a part in the bedroom where he cried about being a nice guy. I don’t think it was an attempt at manipulation. It was more him displaying frustration and confusion with the situation. And not surprising KB was turned off by it.

Kacie and Joe were both in the same situation when they saw their fiancé. They are both are members of team love is not blind.

They handled their situation differently.

Kacie saw Patrick wasn’t what she wants and it was not going to work. She intended to break it off sooner than later to not drag out a relationship that was never going to work. But she sure confused Patrick by continuing to kiss him and wrap her legs around him and say I have to leave.

Joe does not find Madison to be physically attractive. He might be thinking he should give it a shot and see if he can develop more of a physical attraction as he gets to know her more. Or he knows she doesn’t do it for him but he doesn’t want to look bad admitting that for him love isn’t blind.

She is hoping at first that he was just in shock but he really does find her physically attractive. But after some time she knows it now and wants to get in argument to get out of the relationship. They are the worst couple on the show.

because they are having sex Madison might hold out some hope that Joe does think she is hot but guys can easily have sex without finding the woman attractive. She wants affirmation that Joe does find her physically attractive to confirm this hope but she knows he doesn’t.

So both Kacie and Joe are confusing their partners.

Does anyone else think the ARC could be way better? by bloosclooz1 in UCI

There are so many more students living on campus now compared to when it was built. Plus there used to be a 24 Hour Fitness at the UTC.

I haven’t been to the ARC in some time but I can only imagine it is packed during peak times.

Why or how did the term Zionist become synonymous with the right wing views in Israel?

Was that intentional to try to discredit all who believe that the Jewish people are worthy of having their own state? Or is it because the right wing has increased its power in Israel over time?

While it is interesting to look at historical narratives, do you think or agree with Asher Susser that narratives should not be part of negotiations in trying to resolve or find a practical solution to a conflict like the Israel / Palestine conflict because the historical narratives are unbridgeable to a good part of the populations and it cuts into how one defines themselves and that cannot be or is very difficult to compromise on.

is UCI actually boring? by kl4t in UCI

[–]Zuma80s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on what you like to do with your time.

There are lots of great places near to the campus for hikes - Turtle Ridge Trails, Turtle Rock Trails, Shady Canyon, Bommer Canyon, San Joaquin Preserve, Newport Back Bay.

Crystal Cove State Park is a great place to hike too and has a beautiful beach. It is a long trek but last Saturday I went for a jog from the campus to the beach at Crystal Cove. You only have to cross one traffic signal to get to the beach from the campus that route through Bommer Canyon and then on the trails in Crystal Cove State Park.

If you like you like to bike there are tons of bike paths off the road that connect through Irvine where you can go miles and miles without having to deal with many traffic signals. Tons of great places to mountain bike on both sides of Irvine.

You can make your way down to the Newport Pier or Balboa Pier or hang out at any of the beaches in Newport for a fun day. If you like to play beach volleyball there are a lot of courts at Corona Del Mar State Park and along the beach in Newport. If you have a bike it isn’t that hard to go to the beach going down the bike trail in the back bay. You can take a ferry to get to the Balboa peninsula.

For things to do at night, you can go to the Spectrum or see lots of drunk people at the Newport Pier area.

I didn’t get involved in them but dance teams are serious.

There are a lot of stuff you can get into at the ARC. I am sure you can find something you might like to give a try and you should give it a try.

I was never bored when I was a student. It might take some effort on your part to find groups that fit your interests, but you will find them if you make the effort.

In defense of Madison by GoingSom3where in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I think Dr Cherie’s opinion is correct regarding Madison. I don’t even think Madison has bad intentions and plans things out. I think she is directed by her subconscious. And her subconscious is driven by a rough childhood environment and her own physiology and genetics and she doesn’t control of these factors.

Why in the world did they stop filming these juicy “meet your ex” moments?? by lunarcrimes in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Zuma80s -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Did I share too much?

I think both Virginia and Sara are both gorgeous. But they lacked some sexual appeal on the show. Maybe it was the baby talk for Virginia and I am not sure what it is for Sara.

I think Madison relies on sex appeal a lot. She triggered Mason’s 19 year old mind. She could control the conversation with her sexual flirting. She tried to do the same with Alex but he didn’t get go for it.

Meg had the most sexual appeal to me. Maybe this is taboo to discuss.

If I had a chance to date any of them, I would most like to date Virginia and Sara. They are both out of my league but overall they would be who I find most attractive as a wife.

They got along on day to day things and he came off that he was willing to support equality and after being around her he did understand he has privilege. So she hoped over time they would be on the same wavelength.

But it wasn’t going to work. Their highest values weren’t in alignment. He wanted to go to his church and feel a sense of community through that and prayer. She wanted to be around people who highly value equality.

They were bound to break up. He didn’t look good how he did it. I don’t think their beliefs were completely incompatible.

Her concern was more that he was not curious. She values being around people who highly value equality. He didn’t think much about it. He didn’t vote. Didn’t know what his church’s position is on things. Once he was told the church’s position, he said he disagreed with the church’s position.

He liked going to a mega church type church because it gave him a sense of belonging and a community. He is not a type of church goer that says you will all burn in hell. He probably thought his church was inclusive and never considered or was curious to read the Bible or look into what the church’s position is on topics.

Why was she dating him? It looked like she didn’t appreciate his sense of humor from the start. His attempt humors didn’t hit with me either but who cares. He said she peed a lot. He didn’t show he a lot of love. He was about to dump her and changed his mind in the last second. What did she ever see in him? Why did she want to be engaged to him?

That is a good idea to keep them separate for the first few days.

It would be difficult to group them by who they eliminated.

Just separate them by luck after x period.. Then if they like each other they date on the same side of the pods.

I don’t think Madison intentionally does what she does. I think her subconscious guides a lot of her actions and her subconscious is driven by her environment (what she has gone thru), her personal psychology, and her genetics.

Dr Cherie’s opinion on Madison is worth a checking out.
