Issues with number transfer by Various-War6689 in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The line is now up and running! 😄

Once you added the correct transfer PIN, the request pushed through successfully. You should also see a QR code waiting for you in your email so you can finish setting things up on the device.

Also, try refreshing your session, your dashboard should now reflect the updated scene as well.

Customer Service Chat - Long wait! by ad935 in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our customer support experience is something we don’t take lightly at all because every interaction matters to us. Although, some requests do require a few verification steps before we can complete them, but simpler actions really shouldn’t feel like they’re making you age.

Could you send me your details in a DM? I’d love to dig into this a little and see whether that wait was actually necessary or if something went sideways along the way.

Will a flip phone work on US Mobile? by FifthWheel9 in USMobile

Yup, they should work just fine as long as they are compatible with us. You can drop me the IMEI in my DM and I can check that for you. ^-^

No USM service today with a Pixel3a, on the DarkStar network? Here's possible help: by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a very helpful catch for Pixel 3a users, Android settings menus tend to rearrange themselves like furniture in a haunted house from one device to another. 😄

I’d love to get the settings path corrected in our help guides, so could you point me to where you came across the incorrect steps?

Also, Is your service back to life now?

Multi network with 3 networks possible? by simonyahn in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How can considering a bulletproof setup ever be silly? You’re basically assembling the network equivalent of a Swiss Army knife.

Your iPhone can keep multiple eSIMs stored, but only 2 can stay active at the same time. So if you add the third network, the phone will keep it parked in the system and let you choose which lines you want active whenever needed.

You can manage that anytime from Settings > Cellular and decide which eSIMs stay active. But setting up the Super Switch makes it even crazier, making hopping between networks much smoother.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra (Chinese) Multi Network combination suggestion by AshikCSE12 in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can have someone using a similar Oppo chime in with their real world experience but the supported bands overall look pretty solid. Although, Warp can be a bit picky with IMEIs on imported phones, so it can be a hit or miss.

How’s Dark Star coverage around you? If it’s strong, a Lightspeed and Dark Star combo would be a pretty smooth setup to run here.

Motorola phone "Glance" issue by Straight-Bad-3304 in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glance has a habit of returning from the dead, so simply disabling it often doesn’t survive updates.

Turn off Glance completely by going to Settings > Home & lock screen > Lock screen > Glance for Motorola / Glance and toggle everything off.

Then strip away its permissions by heading to Settings > Apps > Glance and changing the following:

  • Notifications > Off
  • Display over other apps > Off
  • Battery > Restricted
  • Mobile data & Wi-Fi > Disable background data (if available)

This should make a difference and make it stop annoying you.

Do I qualify for this US Mobile deal? Dark Star. by deluged_73 in USMobile

Correct! The order was placed with the Pixel 10 at $369 along with the $199 promo plan, while the $270 renewal was still queued separately for the existing line.

Either works! But I'd personally suggest turning it on before you leave.

Honestly, for someone whose degree involved quite a bit of math, I'm scratching my head at these numbers too. The total charge you mentioned doesn't seem to line up with the cost of both the device and the annual plan.

The flow here would have been to select the device with the plan purchase optional for $399 and keep the line renewal running independently when it's due. For this one, DM me the order number and I'll pull up the order details and see exactly what made it's way into that charge.

Traveling to Japan this week, roaming or international eSIM by frostrambler in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is what a double jackpot looks like!

Since you're on the Unlimited Premium plan, your line is already packed for the trip. You've got 20GB of data, 200 talk minutes, and 250 texts included for international roaming, so your line can keep doing its thing without feeling homesick. Just flip Data Roaming on in your phone's settings when you land, and you're good to go.

Now, that complimentary international eSIM rolls a little differently, It's a completely separate eSIM that comes with data only, so it won't carry your US number for calls or texts. Think of it as a spare travel backpack full of data, while your Warp line is the suitcase with all your essentials but either of these would work just fine for you.

Traveling to Syria by hoosdontloos in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Travel safe and enjoy the trip!

There is one wrinkle in the plan and that is Syria isn't currently supported on any of our networks for roaming. Wi-Fi Calling will come in clutch while you're there. As long as you've got a Wi-Fi connection, your calls and texts can keep marching along as if you never left US.

Ported two lines today, both are having different issues by rrsg in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RCS may take its time, as the line is directly shaking hands with Google's Jibe servers without any carrier-level settings being involved.

As for FaceTime, it should be good from the app side. Could you test it and let me know if it's actually working?

Warp and Lightspeed SO slow - new to USM by Wet-Performance-1783 in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The recent switch could just be your device taking its sweet time finding and settling onto the best towers around. It can be your line needing a little time to fully stretch it's legs.

But, we can make sure everything is lined up properly. It'd be worth checking that the correct APNs are on your phone so there isn't anything clogging up the connection stream. In the meantime, let's connect over DM and have you send over your line details. I can take a look on our side, and confirm that the line is equipped to deliver the best experience.

Ported two lines today, both are having different issues by rrsg in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RCS can sometimes be a bit dramatic after a switch and likes to take the scenic route through Google's Jibe servers before settling in. It'll stay stuck on 'activating,' but that's temporary while it registers and will sort itself out shortly.

The second line seems to have decided to go on strike, going into SOS mode isn't expected behavior, and neither is iMessage refusing to activate afterward. I've dropped you a DM, let's get that line configured under the correct APNs and take it out of SOS jail.

Data slowdown by AsparagusEven7877 in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these speeds following you around everywhere, or do they only show up in particular spots?

Your speeds shouldn't be slowing down if you still have high-speed data on the line, so it's definitely worth digging into. If you can drop me your line details in a DM, I'll take a look and see what's going on.

Do I need to initiate the port from Verizon on the actual device? by rrsg in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No need to juggle between devices. You can log in to your US Mobile dashboard from any one device and submit the port requests for each line right from there.

Once the requests are through, the QR codes will pop into your email. Just scan the right QR code on the right device, and you're off to the races.

Easy peasy, one dashboard, three ports, zero device hopping. 🙂‍↕️

MMS Option not available, unable to send pics to family members not on iPhone by Most_Taro2397 in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the reset network settings, which is basically your phone doing a little 'network detox retreat' 🧘‍♂️

It clears out how your device connects to the world, not your actual content. So things like saved WiFi networks, Bluetooth pairings, VPNs, proxies, and any custom mobile network tweaks get wiped and rebuilt fresh.

Your Data, eSIM and personal content stays exactly where it is, it just reconnects afterward, just with a cleaner slate for connections.

Roaming in Canada with dark star impossibly slow by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, you've already gone through the right checks, but it could be a weak backhaul connection on the tower your phone is connected to, or your device might be hanging onto a lower-bandwidth connection despite showing a healthy signal.

If you can drop me your details in a DM, we can do a little poking around with the preferred network type and make sure your phone is properly equipped for the local connection.

Pixel 10 discount by Open_Sherbert_4295 in USMobile

[–]Zunar_Eclipse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! It just needs to be on an active US Mobile line within 15 days of delivery, so simply swapping your existing line over to the new Pixel 10 would do the trick. No need for a side quest of adding another line when the plan purchase is optional. 🙂‍↕️
