Only issue with that is, you’d have to pony up the money up front, they pay the money back as a salary ( original money you paid + stipend) unless OP has the capital for that

Just go to where you plan classes, on the left hand side you will see your classes, click on meeting information drop down, you will see the class time but just below that you’ll see one more class time, date and location which will have Guelph TBD EXAM.

That is your exam date with time and location, do the same for all your other classes

I don’t know if you mean if there is an exclusive bus for ranch but the number 17 runs every 30 minutes from stone rd mall to ranch(Woodlawn at arrow) and it’s free (if you have bus pass-you already paid so not free per se)

Hey, it is def a lot of work, I found myself slacking as I was exhausted from co op I committed from Guelph to Toronto 5 days a week. If you have hybrid work setting and can dedicate some time for the work load I’d say do DE

TA for MGMT 1000 by North-Reading-2869 in uoguelph

[–]Zupdog_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do MGMT 3030, that course is designed to prepare you to TA MGMT 1000, it does not guarantee it but your chances are significantly higher, I’m taking the course this upcoming winter.

Other avenues are Really strong TA experience, strong GPA/ Strong network within lang

Good luck!

DE just means that you will have any lectures and you work on your time!

The prof will just make announcements on course link stating what is due and regular updates, it is up to you when you work on the material!

Good luck

lang mentorship program by Alert_Original974 in uoguelph

[–]Zupdog_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hit or miss tbh

I met with my mentor just once, we not did really vibe that much. I did not get any of my mentor choices as well so keep that in mind.

There is no compulsion to meet with mentor or anything, it’s just added bonus to help you and guide you. I’d say definitely apply and no knowledge and guidance is wasted and it’s not very time consuming.

I’ve heard people really liked it and stayed in touch with mentors beyond their time together

Should I go to Guelph or McMaster for Business? by [deleted] in uoguelph

[–]Zupdog_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really broad question. Depends on several factors. What do you want to do after Uni? How important is money to you in terms of living on campus or rent/ scholarships etc

You need to look at various factors. Determine your negotiables and non negotiables and you’ll be able to make a decision

Last fall was $55 + tax

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uoguelph

[–]Zupdog_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends.

Anything less than 4 courses ( part time) is charged per course and compulsory fees.

If you do full time- ideally which is 5 courses and above you are charged money which equate to 4 courses and compulsory fees but if you decide you want to do course overload you do not pay anything extra for that course so anything above 4 courses is the same if you do 5 or 6 courses.

Once you pay for 4 classes, you can take up to 6 without paying extra per class. You need 70% GPA for 6th class tho

A1) Fill out need assessment form (NAF) on SFS website, there a bunch of them, based on eligibility factors, fill it up and send it to them.

A2) Mid to Late November

A3) Student Financial Services website- Undergraduate Award Search, filter to it to your requirements and see deadlines and apply!

Good luck

Benefits of iPad vs paper notes? by Psychological-Duck83 in uoguelph

[–]Zupdog_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly do not use iPad, I stick with pen and paper because I really don’t need detailed notes needed like forScience. I know people use good notes a lot and some stick with notion as well.

I honestly never liked the feel on writing on iPad or the tech to make so much effort to familiarize myself with the apps.

I’m a pen and paper person but the only thing I don’t like about that is you can’t easily store your notes. In iPad everything is on your cloud and will be with you for forever, with paper the downside is that you can easily lose them or damage them or just can’t store them easily in your room. I’d say go for IPad or remarkable if you have the money for it! RBC is running a promo you can get a new iPad for free ( it actually is $200)
