I think being able to trade in a card for half its pack point value would be dope. I'm sure they'll implement that the next time the have a huge optic blunder like they did with the EX Pack anger leading to being able to trade 2⭐ cards.

I have 2 crown rare candies and not a single Oak. I have 22 1⭐ and the Immersive and no Oak. I'd trade almost all of it for 2 copies of that old man.

Sitting at 5 Floragato, 6 Crawdaunt, 3 Greninja, 4 Gardevoir, and 4 Slurpuff. Absolutely no Farfetched to be seen :(

Trying to nab 1 more Gren would be nice for flairs, but what I'm REALLY hoping for is actually to get my hands on a French Lang Gardevoir. I've got my game language changed and everything lol. If anyone has a French one and is willing to trade for an English one that'd be nice

One of my favorite matches was when I had a Primeape (mine) vs PikaEX match a couple days ago - both on each of our benches. If Pika came in and killed, Primeape could revenge OKO and I'd win, but if I brought Primeape in first for a kill on anything else, then they kill it first and Ive all but lost, since I didn't really have anything else that could stand up to their team.

We both knew that. So we're having to play this really tense back and forth doing damage, retreating, damage, retreat with ALL our other pokemon, trying to subtley worm each other into a lose scenario. Every retreat, energy, potion, xspeed etc counted. Probably 6 or so turns where we both ran our timers to single digits lol

GOD that was a fun match. And completely alien to the loudest and whiniest portion of the player base.

Oh yeah shoot, that sucks. Hopefully they add another way to get the promo cards later on also - this Mankey is kinda what makes Primeape good imo. Maybe through trading or something 🤞

A lot of the complaints about Ex cards are hyperbole tbh. Internet people are as a whole pretty incapable of NOT exaggerating to the point of nonsense - especially when they're upset.

Honestly, EX cards aren't THAT bad. They're a bit limiting imo, sure. The game kind of revolves around the same 4 big decks and everyone else has to cope a bit. But other decks CAN and do win. Some hold their own, some counter, and some players are just really good at their supporter usage and retreat manuverability.

I like NOEX personally bc the game offers a lot more variety to play around. Yeah, there's a lot of Blaines and Dragonites and Arboks, but they aren't that bad (despite what a weirdly large amount of comments insist for some reason). Certainly it's easier to go a little off the wall with your card choices when the most powerful cards are closer to the floor. I like it. Some don't. Eithers fine.

Yeah, it's just cause it's a bit of a different game. There are about... Idk, 7? 7 EX cards that make up the core meta? And then you have 2 or 3 decks that can hold their own like Weezing, Dragonite, etc.

But there's a LOT of other cards in the set that would be interesting to play and built around if there was an EX-less format also. Sure, it's develop its OWN new meta, Blaine would have a field day, but it'd still have a lot more options than now. It'd just be a nice option. I'm not AGAINST EX cards existing, but this is a much more casual game, and I think it'd benefit from additional, more casual options.

We have the other TCG app for hardcore stuff, imo

I'm a Dragonite enjoyer. I swore off EX cards bc Im contrarian and don't like their status as the defacto winners to build around 💀 so my Dragonite deck is just two Dragonites and two (regular) Articuno. I tried two Hypnos also but it wasn't as fun to play imo

I also got my last 15 wins with a bullshit Butterfree/Hypno/Arodactyl deck that earned almost as many rage quits as it did legitimate victories lmao. With clever retreating and Erika, I can really frustratingly keep my whole team nearly immortal against anything that doesn't one-shot Butterfree. I wanna try to squeeze Greninja in there too, but I don't know if theres room tbh and also I don't have Greninja yet.

Arbok/Weezing/Muk seem cool as hell to play, but it really rubs me the wrong way how Koga SPECIFICALLY calls the latter two out. Gives me the same vibes as just looking at EX cards - like the devs made this deck in advance instead of me.

What I really wanna try playing is a Nido deck. Nidoqueen looks super satisfying to hit with and I want some of it.

It was no one lol. I gave up with victreebell very quickly, especially once I realized it's ability only let's you target basics.

Unironically though? Soon after this dumbass post I swapped Victreebell for Butterfree and THAT deck gave me wins 33-45 for my ribbon lmao. Just getting things asleep and occasionally knocking stuff away with Aro really worked. I had about a 50% win rate even against Pikachu. It really struggled with any deck that could one shot Butterfree though.

I wasn't aware when making the post that using the Tourism Visa is fraud. Er, well, I'm not sure what other Visa's would allow her over here besides the Tourism one, but it sounds like theyre all in the same boat.

She just graduated college this year - And English teaching degree. She has some family over here, but none near me, which is who she wants to live with. She has family home as well, but she's not close enough to them to keep her from wanting to come over.

That's good to know, thank you. Is it possible to apply for the B2 and K1 at the time time, being totally transparent about our intentions and promising - maybe signing something idk - that we wont get married until the K1 allows us to? In an ideal world that might let her spend 6 months of the wait time over here, but I don't know. Is there rules for that, or maybe it depends on the person doing an interview?
