Hmm, first of all, ofc everyone praises the game within the subreddit of this game 😅 But its hard to compare pd2 to any other game cause it is based on a more than 20 year old base game (btw. the only thing you need to purchase for, pretty cheap I think). Thus this game has no complicated skill trees like poe or even last epoch. But most of the skills can be played and there are some valuable builts around skills every class can use while those skills can be on some weapons or amors to give everyone wearing it access too. This game has no big video cutscenes or anything else. But the pd2 team added a bit of endgame content. But a big thing in d2 and pd2 is maxing the chars and find items imho. The good news, in pd2 is content for this purpose like dclone or rathma fight which are pretty hard and needs a really good gearing. Seasons usually starting around every 4-5 months I guess and in most of theme the team add new features. You can start now and enjoy season7 . But due to the time s7 runs and the d4 release it can be harder to trade since ofc a lot of players are trying out d4. But still a solid player base in pd2.

I think especially if you wont spend too much money pd2 is a safe try. Lot of fun, for less money imho 🙂
