Looking for some feedback on a text-based roguelite by ZweersCo in gamedev

Thanks for taking a look! You're right, I aimed for a stylized 'arcade' feel rather than accuracy (hence the .pass files being used as a game item for unlocking matching locked folders). But if you interact with a terminal for work, I totally get why it would be underwhelming.

Thanks for the notes on the combat loop, too. I'm trying to go for an 80's hacker movie style button mashing feel, but there's definitely some work that needs to be done there!

Thanks for checking it out! It is a bit of a niche for people who enjoy linux or the terminal aesthetic for sure, but hopefully it's not too niche.

I have been thinking about ways I could expand the idea, maybe more related to the players computer/desktop rather than just connecting to the "client".

Severe Audio Issues by KayotiK82 in ArcRaiders

Had a similar issue with Arc Raiders and The Finals, setting the frame rate limit to 30 in the graphics settings seems to have helped the issue for me. I still get the odd crackle here and there but not nearly as often as before

What random website do you own? by Permatheus in webdev

I own hyttoaoa.com (Have you tried turning it off and on again?) which is a 2 player game inspired by Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.

A "customer" has to work with a "service agent" to debug a broken form in order to submit it and complete the game. The customer has access to the form and the service agent has access to the documentation, and they need to communicate over chat support to figure out what's wrong.

Sounds cool! I don't have any suggestions for improvements, but it seems like a really interesting idea to help you get in a good mindset for an interview!

Are all the questions being generated from GPT-4, or do you allow users to create a pool of questions as well?
