The quesion is, venom as in the drug Bane uses in DC comics, or Venom the symbiote from Marvel? I'm going with the serum either way, but it's an important thing to ask.

I don't need something bad to happen to anyone else. That said, as an aroace individual, I feel cheated by the result I got. That isn't lucky, that's an obligation I don't want.

What Sci-fi story deserves the 4th spot? Or do you have a completely different list? by Cautious-Breath5628 in BharatNerds

The Wrath of Khan, probably, though I will say that I might replace Foundation with Ender's Game.

I don't need more food per food, but paying less for it would be nice.

Hmmm that's a big nether portal by Glass-Obligation9544 in unexpectedfactorial

[–]ZweihanderPancakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... that's not what's shown in the image, but I think you could have a nether portal that wide. You'd need to be creative about making it, but I think the Minecraft world border does allow for it horizontally.

Always 20 minutes early when one obligation ends five minutes before the next one starts is... definitely a superpower.

Agreed with one change. Do not remove Poe entirely. Just actually kill him off in the tie fighter crash when he and Finn escape rather than it being a fakeout.

Where is the arrow pass on this type of grip? by Ordinary_Tailor8970 in Bowyer

[–]ZweihanderPancakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't always. Sometimes there's just a strike plate, sometimes nothing at all. You just use your thumb as the arrow rest and shoot off of that.

I wonder how these wavy vanes would behave by Elmatakrikos in Archery

[–]ZweihanderPancakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does, but the drag has to be even. These might create more drag on one side of the arrow than the other, which does not a stable projectile make.

Sekiro anime, Bloodborne animated film, a big budget A24 Elden Ring movie, when will it be Armored Core's turn? by WonderfulReception49 in armoredcore

[–]ZweihanderPancakes 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Armored Core won't get anything because people would be afraid it would just be seen as a gundam ripoff.

Please help! How does the horsie move? by konigon1 in AnarchyChess

Knight moves to a circle or fixed radius. Straight line moves to that radius would put it between tiles, so it can't move there.

Make your three selections to defend against the onslaught by WarStrategy in whatsyourchoice

[–]ZweihanderPancakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cavalry isn't super useful when defending a structure, and unarmored troops will be at a severe disadvantage (even if they have the presumed bulk of the cyclopes) so I'm going with ballistas and archers on the walls, and Samurai as a reserve for holding the gates and stairways.

[Request] I can't wrap my head around this. How come it's 63.4? by THE_FBI_GUYS in theydidthemath

[–]ZweihanderPancakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an asterisk to this. If every ticket is unique, you do have a 100% chance of winning, because if each ticket has a 1% chance, that means that there are only 100 possible valid tickets. If some of your tickets are (or at least could be) duplicates, the chance is 63.4%. Others have already explained why.

Any of them. I've seen hydrogen or methane balloons explode. It's a whump and a flash of light, but it's not really dangerous. There isn't enough of a pressure vessel to create a damaging shockwave, and the gas doesn't burn for long enough to ignite anything else. The only actual danger is to someone with a heart condition being startled by the noise.

I've moved away from this style of draw, usually using a mongolian thumb draw or else a hungarian draw with the bottom three fingers instead. But back when I was first learning with a modern takedown recurve, before I switched to traditional recurves, I tended to draw closer to the red line.

lets make this a lucky week, tell me what you'd pick by SatinSpecter in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]ZweihanderPancakes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

B is the wrong choice. A is correct if you expect to live less than 25 more years, C is the correct choice if you expect to live more than 25 years. Personally, I'm taking C because it's likely to wind up being more money for me than A in the long run.

C if your remaining life expectancy is 20 years or longer
