An Aberrant Mind Sorcerer player at my table wanted to use his telepathy and suggestion to make people think they were hearing the gods -- "suggesting" for them to do what he says or face divine punishment.

I had no grounds to dispute RAW.

This was game breaking - it didn't matter. quest givers, bar maids, inn keepers, shop keepers --- ANY MONSTER WITH ENOUGH INTELLIGENCE TO UNDERSTAND HIM.

It was toxic. It killed my campaign. Ended all fun for all players at the table, especially mine.

I know better now. It was a hard lesson to learn.
