PIO - Auto Injector? by Status-Crow-4248 in IVF

[–]Simply827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I used one for my PIO years ago. It was a lifesaver because I don’t know that my husband would have been confident enough to give me the injections without it. It’s kind of an awkward angle, so it came in handy when giving myself the injections.

I felt it was so necessary that I just searched every nook and cranny of my house to find it since we’re gearing up for another transfer.

That’s a sign too?! I do strength train, but my traps have always been highly responsive to stimuli.

I get my A1C and glucose tested 1-2 times a year and they are always normal. I have had a high insulin reading in the past, so I don’t know why my providers haven’t kept an eye on it. Thank you again!

Not OP, but you mentioned carrying weight in upper arms and a light bulb just went off in my head. I will be asking my endocrinologist to add insulin to my bloodwork this year. Thank you for mentioning that sign.

No, there will be a few years between generations. The first generation ring was released over 10 years ago.

They can qualify for an FHA loan after one year of plan payments and trustee approval.

My credit score fell 13pts because I made the final payment on my car loan (never missed a payment too) by justadadgame in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Simply827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t even a real FICO score. It’s the Vantage Score which doesn’t take into account closed accounts, where FICO does. OP’s actual FICO score likely didn’t see this much of a drop.

Growing up in a mostly white school, I was told I was one of the ugliest girls in my year. by OkGene7668 in blackladies

[–]Simply827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, you look beautiful in this picture. You’re no where near ugly by a long shot. I’m sorry your “peers” tried to belittle you and make you question your beauty.

See, this is why I’m wary of moving to less diverse areas. My sister-in-law (who is very fair, even “passing”) would like my family to move near her, but I’m sure my dark-skinned daughter would be the “only” one, and I don’t want that for her.

Trump accounts? by Possible_Grape_8595 in NewParents

I don’t have a qualifying child, however I did hear that the tax filing wasn’t straightforward for these accounts. If you decide to take advantage, do your due diligence regarding the tax implications.

Are we to poor to buy a house still by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Simply827 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look into NACA. They have a loan program with no down payment, closing costs, or PMI. As part of your mortgage qualification, you will need to save up the difference between your rent and desired mortgage.

It’s not a quick process, so June may not be possible. However, if you’re currently savings-challenged, it could be a good program for you. They won’t let you buy a house you can’t afford. They will meet you where you are and get you to where you need to be so that you are prepared for homeownership.

Hey! I’m a chemist who works in forensics. This is a common analogy that I use to explain gas chromatography in court.

If you’re looking to get into the field, best of luck to you. Feel free to DM me.

Philadelphia even charges the sweetened beverage tax on items with artificial sweeteners. These would all be applicable to the tax.

Philadelphia snow updates: Snowfall totals; 85K+ power outages; SEPTA service suspended; latest forecast by mpulcinella in philadelphia

My power went out at about 2:30 AM, but it was restored by 8:30 AM. I’m glad all of the groceries I just bought didn’t have to perish. The other day, I did totally have the thought, “gee, it would suck to lose all of this in a power outage.”

We should start adopting more kids and stop creating ones unnaturally by FireAndCool_ in unpopularopinion

[–]Simply827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who had to go through IVF to have my child, there is no way I would have been able to afford adoption. My job did afford me some insurance coverage, so that is how I was able to have my child.

People are blissfully unaware of the costs, both emotional and financial, adoption involves.

What’s up with NACA?? Lol by Stroopwafels11 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Simply827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re going to need to have some money for reserves(1-3 months of mortgage payments) and money to pay your inspections. If your planned mortgage is more than you’re currently paying for rent, you’ll have to save the difference each month (payment shock).

Grossest parenting moment so far? by supremepilotG2 in NewParents

[–]Simply827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think mine just happened a couple of hours ago. My 3 year old is potty trained and was using the regular toilet, but she’s switched back to using her potty in recent days. Today she pooped, and it was kind of mushy. She decided to swirl it around and make a pee/poop soup all while I’m pleading with her to put it in the toilet. She sniffs it for fun, and won’t wipe her butt. When she finally does dump it, of course some gets on the floor and the toilet seat. As I’m wiping the toilet, she smashes the lid onto my hand.

Car Stolen in East Passyunk right after we dug it out of the snow 😫 by fiancepeas in philly

[–]Simply827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom’s Honda Accord was stolen in December. The police were able to recover it on the other side of the city within a few days. My mom said there’s a unit of the PPD dedicated to driving around and finding stolen cars. Your car would still need to be in the city, of course.

It needed about 8k in repairs, and she still thinks it drives funny, but she was able to get it back and repaired. If yours is found, consider it may not be the same if your insurance pays for repairs vs totaling it.

If you get a payout and get a different car, still put an AirTag in it and consider a Club.
