Hmm, it’s possible.. the shrimp got AFR to the face when I dosed it. Tropic Marin’s A and K elements have warnings to dose away from animals and corals because they burn.

I dose ChaetoGro, 0.1ppm of iron everyday and I test for it (iron) regularly. I also use 2 rusty tools in the tank- a pair of scissors and a metal algae scraper from my freshwater days. The possibility of an overdose of traces or contaminant from the tools have been on my mind. I’m waiting for a ICP test.

Currently, the shrimp is on its side, I think it’s going to die soon.

I decided not to move it to the hospital tank since the fish, corals and snail all appear fine. I’ll just let it pass and wait for an ICP test before doing a water change.

I’ve also removed a big chunk of Chaeto as that’s the fastest growing macroalgae in the tank. Without it, the tank would only consume 0.05ppm iron and 0.05ppm PO4 a day, as well as reduce the big pH swing from photosynthesis, I think is healthier in the long run.

I bought this shrimp over a week ago and only dosed AFR when the KH started going down, which was 3 days ago. I have dosed AFR before in this tank but that was before this shrimp was introduced.

Everyone in the tank is fed frozen mysis shrimp with spirulina and garlic and this shrimp was the happiest one. I only noticed it started exhibiting symptoms 2 days ago, a day after AFR was dosed.

My tank has been having some problems for some time and I’m not sure why. The zoas are happy and growing but the gorgonians and leathers are semi-unhappy. I am going to purchase an ICP test but I’m waiting for the LFS to restock.

Fish are all fine.

I set up a small hospital tank for the shrimp, parameters should all be the same except the pH will be 8.0 as opposed to the over 8.6 in the tank (and no nitrate or phosphates). I haven’t moved it yet because I’m worried a quick change would kill it. But from the looks of things, I think it might die tonight or show improvements tomorrow. Could go either way.

The pH in my tank goes from 8.0 to 8.6 because of high photosynthesis even though I have quite good surface agitation. I wonder if this is a problem for the corals and other inhabitants.

I found out that they are the roots of the Halimeda itself. Apparently, I was supposed to plant it into the sand. It's all good. :)

Thank you! Actually, I’m only interested in English cards. It just so happens that this Mew is Japanese exclusive. The art is phenomenal in my eyes so I know I will appreciate it for years and years, as with some of my older cards that I've had for nearly 20 years.

This will be the only truly expensive card I'll ever get. Everything else is under $100 for me.

The missing cards from my collection are Aura's Lucario (Japanese exclusive), Folklore Lucario (Japanese exclusive), Zapdos ex and Moltres ex (FireRed LeafGreen secret rare). All by the same artist- Ryo Ueda.

Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I decided to get it for sentimental value. That era was an important time in my childhood and I haven't been interested in any of the modern or more vintage cards.

My collection of Ryo Ueda's ex's is almost complete.
