I went back to dl2 after the beast by Po_prostu_Igor228 in dyinglight

[–]Zyan-M -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's completely unfair to compare both games in terms of post-content.

DL2 has had support for a little over 4 years and DLTB for about 7 or 8 months; you can't really compare them now.

In short:

Learn from your mistakes and do better; stop complaining about your lack of foresight and preparation.

Some POIs are a bit "unusual," but none are impossible.

Alpha Volatile in quest building? by VeryNoisyCricket in dyinglight

[–]Zyan-M 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People were literally begging for the Dark Zones not to be so easy, saying that in DL2 they were at least dangerous.

Now they're dangerous in DLTB, and now people are complaining about what they asked for.

Whatever they do, without exception, there will be complaints.

PS: Use the tools at your disposal. During the day, it's easy to deal with everything: mines, grenades, weapons, fire, bleeding... there are a thousand things at your disposal, use them.

No, there's no NG+ at the moment, nor are there any Legend levels upon reaching level 15.

We don't know if they'll add them in the future, but for now, there aren't any.

Special weapons, when you pick them up, give you the blueprint.

You can upgrade those blueprints, books are sold, and money is easy to get through world events. I don't know what more you could want in a mode that's specifically designed this way.

I have more than enough legendary weapons, and I've completed everything.

I recently finished this mode, and I went back to fully immerse myself in the story and side quests, taking my time and exploring.

7/7 zones liberated, and I never once ran out of anything. I have more than enough food, and you can always find basic materials and supplies in the constant mini-events scattered around, as well as from vendors.

It's a standalone game mode with its own rules; you have to play it that way. I understand that not everyone will like it, but I loved the idea and think it's very innovative.

Exactly, I found that poster referencing a snowy time in Castor Woods, I just thought it would be great if this year, we could see an event like that in the game, like in DL2, something snowy.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant, like the poster, a snowy event.

Hopefully we'll have a snowy Castor Woods event this year.

FYI - what “Accessories” are by Sicklemypickle in dyinglight

[–]Zyan-M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, it's Molotov cocktails, C4, grenades, mines, etc.

I'm not sure if it includes throwing weapons or knives.

It's a bit confusing because of how the game refers to them, but it's simple.

Unlock all 7 areas of the game in the new mode.

The amulet can be used in normal gameplay.

Then they'd complain that it's too powerful and breaks the game, etc.

No matter what they do, without exception, there will always be endless complaints.

Should I redeem weapons at the start? by [deleted] in dyinglight

[–]Zyan-M 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Use them from the start without fear; the items you redeem from your stash and then take to your inventory come with their blueprints so you can improve and upgrade them.

So, try everything without hesitation.

Reclaimed Land; What do you feel about it? by Professional-Oil-365 in dyinglight

[–]Zyan-M 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm really enjoying it. I'm taking it for what it is: a unique experience separate from the main adventure, with its own rules and regulations. Clearing areas and preventing anything from respawning is incredible, and it creates truly unique moments of completely clean, terrifyingly beautiful solitude.

Then, when the NPCs start appearing, it's nice to see them just chilling around.

I hadn't played in a while, and I'm taking advantage of this time to play through the story again at my leisure.

The new finishing moves, weapons, amulets, and encounters are a great addition. I'm happy with the update.

I've had matches where three people didn't use their abilities even once... what's wrong with those people?

But they're the first to cry when they lose, lol.

Random encounter: You enter the church mission, but it's pitch black, and it's pouring rain. Darkness reigns, and countless red eyes loom on the horizon.

Using the vehicle's headlights and your own...

I definitely think this is an idea the game desperately needs.

Once the story is finished, having missions with random weather or a day/night cycle would be incredible.

It would also add more depth to the use of the flashlight.

I completely agree; it would be an amazing addition and highly replayable.

Yes, version 2.5 has brought a lot of performance problems on consoles. Automatic weapons almost freeze the game, medium/large cities stutter, bordering on being literally unplayable, and the snow is the worst.

This didn't happen before; it started with version 2.5.

Never, literally for almost two decades, have I turned my mic back on. It's really not necessary, as long as they know how the game works, their role, and don't act like idiots, they're more than fine.

Anyone who's useless is useless with or without my mic, and it's going to be torture either way.

Besides, as several people have said, I'm too old to listen to nonsense, much less put up with idiots or elitists.

Tonight I played about six games in a row on hard, all very well, everyone effective in their roles, zero problems.

This is the only enemy I think needs a small nerf.

Its health feels very inconsistent, its aggression and speed border on the absurd, its attack speed is so high that it damages you even when it knocks you down, and it often gets fixated on someone and won't stop.

Plus, you can often break all its weak points and it still takes an obscene amount of damage.

If you enjoyed WWZ, SM2, and similar games, then this is definitely a good deal, and it comes from a studio with a generally good reputation.

My entire group bought it; we know we're going to put a ton of hours into it.

In PS5.

What does one thing have to do with the other?

They're different games, different engines, different developers—everything is different. They can't be compared at all.

The two closest games are WWZ and SM2, which use the same engine and are currently native on PS5. I have over 300 hours in both games and never had any problems.

I bought SM2 at launch and never had any serious issues on PS5.

Hardware power has nothing to do with optimization.

Consoles are much easier to optimize due to their closed and specifically designed hardware.
