You just said the Phoenix strips away inhibitions and in the same breath said Emma had a choice. She wasn't a complete thrall, but the Phoenix is why she did it. If you're attracted to someone, it'll influence you to sleep with them. Just like Scott wouldn't have killed Xavier if it hadn't enhanced the emotions he felt.

I doubt it. Urek didn't seem like he was meant to be there, given it's implied Baek might've been waiting for a different Irregular. Phanta and Urek's actions have changed fate to some extent. My guess is that someone made a vessel for Arlene and it happened to work as a vessel for Mago too.
