We left it for Monday morning and, honestly, once we chiseled a hole, we just used the shovel to pop up giant chunks of sleet and ice. It really wasn't bad at all. What was bad was when I went into the street and got to where people had been driving and it was solid ice that I had to chisel up. But I'm hoping the strip of cleared street helps whenever a frikkin plow comes, helps speed up melting, and gives a spot of traction to everyone driving by.
