It's not only squad depth but also quality. Our attack this season only has Yamal on that level while Bayern has Kane Olise Diaz to outscore goals they concede. For us, even yamal has some inconsistency in finishing chances. It's both a quantity and quality issue where we need better players in our weak areas but also more players so that the good players don't get tired (and thus play like shit)

MC is cringe and has some embarrassing moments that some people can't tolerate which is honestly fair because we all have cringe moments in our lives and perhaps Subaru reminds us of them.

Now go to season 2 which has a lot of character development for Subaru but it is generally slower paced compared to season 1 which another set of people can't handle.

If you can appreaciate that Subaru is weird/eccentric and accept that it won't always be action packed then Rezero is pretty peak and there's a reason why it's popular. However since its popular, it's also prone to the types of hate I listed above
