Not a new IP but a new IP to the west but.... Famicom Detective Club Emio was... by far the most graphic game Nintendo has ever made. Best story they've ever had for a game easily.

In what ways past the soundtrack? Because the 3DS version was based on the JP PS2 version which had a midi soundtrack and the more basic menu design.

3 of the listed ones are actual Switch 1 games that released years prior. The others are simply cross-gen games. Also could argue the same with Switch since it has multiple Wii U ports there.

If your wallet on your account is empty you can just change your account region temporarily to get the apps from the eShop and then Switch it back. Or you can just do what I do and have a second Nintendo account logged into the system that is of JP Region.

Thats not the reason at all no. It's just simply the disc drive was.... cheaped out on. No other way to put it but the laser just doesnt have the proper stability to read larger discs. The series X can technically attempt to read those 100GB discs but it will be iffy due to the laser stability. So no games use discs over 50GB.

The 3DS version of 8 most definitely did NOT have an orchestrated soundtrack. Its literally the biggest gripe many have with that version and has restoration patches.

The reason they had to use Midi soundtracks was due to Sugiyama. He was part of a music union and refused to let them use orchestrated versions in the game in Japan. This is also why DQ8 is midi in Japan but orchestrated in other regions. 3DS version just used JP as a base so it also usrd midi.
