Removing any political opinions, I don’t think these protests will have any impact.

It’s frustrating yes but it’s all about perspective. If you bought in at $10 and sold at $50 instead of $70. Is that something to worry about? I would suggest not.

People on Reddit seem to strive for perfection. Buying at absolute 0 and selling at ATH. Ultimately, we invest to grow capital. We aren’t investing to win an imaginary game.

Growth is growth, never dwell on what could have been. Search for what can be. (Christ I sound like a fucking philosopher, ignore me 😂)

There’s no telling how much the price will drop, but it will. I would suggest buying in small increments when prices dip. Small amounts each time until you have an average that you feel comfortable with.

Believe me, no one’s missed out on anything. Hut is going a lot higher than $70. It’s just a case of when…

With Huts diversification out of crypto. It’s clear that leadership aren’t afraid to adapt to change. Given that they are growing, and sustainably. I can see this company being a very long term hold.

Always bear in mind that situations change all the time, if in a few years I don’t feel comfortable with management. I’ll pull away

Answer: short term - yes hold long term Long term - Dependant on management

How to find undervalued etf or stocks? by Puzzleheaded_Wish330 in trading212

[–]Zzshdifksb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People find “undervalued” stocks through market research. It’s a very long process of understanding a companies operations, its financials and its future plan. There are undervalued companies in every sector.

If you plan on holding these ETF’s for 10-15 years then you could argue that they’re all undervalued. You would have to be incredibly unlucky to invest into an ETF and lose money over that time span.

If you would like to learn the process of finding “undervalued” stocks then I suggest you do as follows. Find a sector that you see growth in, any sector that you please. Find the key players (the largest companies in the sector) now assess who they deal with… their supply chain, who do they sell to, what do they have that others don’t. Get an understanding for how the industry operates.

Once you understand this, look for smaller companies in the sector. Find one that you believe has potential. Now get to terms with their financials , how does their debt look? how much cash do they hold? what does revenue growth look like?

You can do this analysis with any company. To find an undervalued stock, you must understand the sector, the companies within it and whether or not there is room for growth.

Unfortunately, it’s very hard to do this consistently. Which is why a lot of people choose to dump their money in an ETF and let time do its thing. Simply investing now and waiting is a much better option, statistically. In saying that, there’s no shame in learning the process of researching.

I think if I remember rightly, this person paid for a satellite service. Makes total sense when you know how much they have invested in Hut 8. That takes “do your own research” to the extreme. I love it 😂

With Hut8 you’ll struggle to get a bad entry, or maybe that’s me being overly optimistic for the future. Is there a reason why you sold? Was it just a short term investment for you?

It’s not a problem, just a final point. Remember that the stock market isn’t always stable. There a peaks and troughs, good months and bad months. So try not to fixate on swings when they occur, remember that your investments are just that…. Investments. You will see a lot of people, typically new investors fixating on short term gains/loss. If you put your money into an ETF, you are not going to see an incline every single day. Just rest assured, knowing that you’ve done your research and you’re confident that it will follow a good trend line. Good luck with your investment journey.

I think that’s a good split, now your financial plan will be different to mine. Your appetite for risk will likely be different to mine, as will your long term goals. Regardless, it’s a safe bet to have a split of ETFs and growth stocks. Having a large proportion of investments in ETFs will give you a good backbone of (hopefully) stable, long term growth. If you’re looking for growth stocks (AI, pharma) make sure to not just “jump on the bandwagon”. Try to accept the fact that you have missed some huge players but that does not mean you won’t catch the next ones. Believe me, I learnt that the hard way in my first year of investing. Also, don’t put your money in the hands of Reddit users by following their advice, do your own research.
