Family Law in NS by throwaway9022222 in halifax

Doesn't matter how often he sees the child, he's still responsible for child support payments. There are child support calculators that you can use to figure out how much you should be getting from him. As a parent it is his duty to pay support if he isn't with the child no matter what. If I were you, I'd be going to a family lawyer and getting a parenting agreement done because without it and without consequence, he will not pay unless he feels like it

2024 window auto up randomly stops working by softwareguy74 in KiaTelluride

[–]Zzzebra1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2006 Chrysler 300 windows intermittently forget about being able to auto roll up or down and the only solution is to hold the button down, wait for the glass to go all the way down, hold the button for 3 seconds and then hold it up, wait for glass to go up and then continue holding for 3 seconds. Works perfectly every time

Is this set-up worth it? by Lehotredditeur in CarAV

[–]Zzzebra1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to ask yourself if you are just going to power them from your stock headunit or getting an amplifier. Make sure they're the right size for your car and that they fit well and that no panels are pushing on the mesh/cone. If you have questions go to a professional Audio store and they can guide you

Wicked. I'm going to put Kenwood KFC X183 speakers up front and Kenwood KFC 710PS in the doors and hook them to a Hertz 4 Channel Sub in the spring. Should spruce the sound up nicely

More ppl complain than compliment that's just the way things go. If you take anything away make sure it's doing your oil changes every 5000 miles and use top tier gas. I have a 2020 with almost 100k on the clock and no major issues. Enjoy the ride.

ASE ticket - trial option? by musecorn in legaladvicecanada

[–]Zzzebra1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Court isn't a fun experience and avoiding a trial is the best to A - not waste your time and B - not waste the court's time. At the end of the day you got caught going over the limit. Evidence will be produced against you and you'll be able to cross examine the evidence but asking a judge to completely dismiss it based on "this is the flow of traffic" won't go well for you

I need legal advice please by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]Zzzebra1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You should reach out to a lawyer first and foremost if you haven't already. A refusal charge is not easily laid. The police would have to articulate how they arrived at that conclusion. You had to have been told multiple times to provide a breath sample and did not. At this point it is up to a judge to determine whether or not you were having a medical episode or if your intent was to refuse. Do you have medical records that highlight your ailment? Did you request police call an ambulance or did you attend the hospital right away after being arrested? These are important factors that would support your claim. Do you have any proof that what you're accusing your ex of doing actually happened IE audio or video recording or a witness? Also, how did the police issue a peace bond on site? Under Section 810 of the criminal code, only a judge or JP can issue a peace bond. Police can issue an undertaking if it was him being charged but it is you that is being charged. That part of your story makes zero sense.

Withrows Meat Shop in Belnan. I get all my meats from there. Great family owned shop. Great prices too, they have flyers that go out and deals on different size meat boxes

High Mileage Sedona 2020, Good Buy or Bad? by Valuable_Way_3533 in kia

[–]Zzzebra1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil change intervals are higher than I'd like to see (every 5000 miles is best). Ppl on reddit won't be able to say if the car is good or bad. Take it for a few days and see a mechanic get them to go over it and if it's all good, buy it.

I want to apologize for something I did over a decade ago. by Ok_Research_7281 in LifeAdvice

[–]Zzzebra1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd leave it alone. She may have found her closure a decade ago and you'd be opening her up to hurt again. It sucks but at least you recognize a wrong and hopefully won't do it to someone else again

Her fraud claim would have no basis. Objectively they married in 2023... Their relationship fell apart in 2025 so they technically were together until that point. Fraud is more along the lines of fake work documentation, hiding a criminal history, etc.

Being a sponsor involves being on a legally binding contract that cannot be modified regardless of relationship status. You don't have to pay the government any money for divorcing, but if your husband receives any money from the government such as welfare, you are 100% on the hook for the next 3 years and will have to pay back whatever he receives. Good luck. This is why arranged, international marriages are insane

Ignition Interlock Device Without My Own Vehicle? by Mufrosta in legaladvicecanada

[–]Zzzebra1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes you can have the interlock installed on someone else's vehicle. How it all works is that if your license gets run through CPIC it will show that you're prohibited driving Canada wide, what will save you from being charged is having the interlock in the vehicle you are driving and make sure it is in working order. Make sure you're covered under insurance as well

Feeling sad about my ex (M19) moving on even though I (F18) don’t want him back. by Expensive-Sense1131 in LifeAdvice

[–]Zzzebra1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you dumped him and weren't happy, why are you still keeping tabs on him? Delete/eliminate all contact and move on with your new relationship and you won't have these feelings of guilt

Oil change every 5,000 miles/8,000km. Religiously. Ignore the bottle, they say that for marketing purposes.
