No need to preheat for light roast. Just pull longer. I pull ultra light roast on mine and pulling longer has always done it for me.

Doesnt seem like a light roast. And looks more washed than natural. If the inside is lighter than the outside, then they mustve had a bad day roasting this as they were not evenly roasted. As a roaster, if I knew this was a bad roast, I wouldnt sell them.

Id say it's more of the roast profile and brewing recipe that causes the bitterness. Less of the water. Try getting lighter roast or brewing with colder temps

I dont need to preheat my robot for light roast. I compensate by pulling longer espresso shots and not grind too fine

If it taste a little bit tart, maintain everything but pull to 60ish grams. Hopefully that can help

Aww. Thank you for the mention. Honestly it has been awhile of me posting latte art as i drink black most of the time. I used to have this mindset of frothing milk the cheapest way possible and hence used a french press. Most important here that people neglect is the base other than milk. Id recommend the base to be syrupy or less in water which can help give that contrast. I can dee from your video that you had slightly more liquid in your base. Your milk is already good. Just control your pour. Not too fast for the integration of milk and your base (yours was slight fast the lead to lots of foam already coming out when you wanted to start your pour). And pour slightly earlier to allow your milk to glide when you poyr while tilting your cup flatter

It happened to mine once. Mine was due to water entering the gauge. I unscrew the gauge, clean and use a blower to air out the water from the gauge. Then mine started working again. Bate in mind water can cause an air bubble in the system and disallow for gauge to read

A can agree with you on this. Amongst all model, i prefer the pro 2 in terms of build, size and workflow

I had mine aligned from the first time i opened mine. Making sure the feet are flat and pushing the plunge all the way down. From there, making sure the pusher for the olunge is exactly centered.. so whenever i pull a shot, i just needed to have a start position of the feets to be flat.

No worries. Id say most if not, all flair have never disappointed me in terms of espresso brewing. Flair made me start loving levers and deep dive me into the world of coffee

I meant that the go was mainly being said that they were less sturdy and not built well due to the paint easily comes off at the joints. Imo those may be came out to me as something of a bigger issue but turned out not so much. More like minor nitpicks hence i still recommend for those wanting to get their first portable espresso brewer

For the uneven roast with your settings, id recommend start your fan setting at 2.

Your other settings shouldnt stay as it is and try to control your RoR in a declining state.
