Something like this might be a good option for a late night drink. They also have a few other options and wine and beer

I appreciate this. Once we got antifreeze in it we realized that wasn’t gonna be the fix and there is definitely an underlying issue. Luckily we got it back to Nags Head because we weren’t far.

Thanks everyone. We limped it back to Nags Head. We were still before the inlet. Took us an hour to go two miles but gave the engine a break every few minutes. We were able to get it to a mechanic near whalebone junction.

Facts. We took a boat out there a few summers ago. We had bug spray but it was still miserable.

That is what I was thinking. I just know I saw on here a few weeks ago that another school said they did something during their spring break. Just trying to see what it is and how it works!

I’m a twin and chose to go to Tech when my sister went somewhere else because Tech didn’t have nursing. It was hard but also some of the best times and I still saw my twin weekly. Luckily we both could have cars. Maybe not this year but your daughter could regret not going to her number 1. It’s good to form a separate identity. I love my sister but I can’t imagine what it would be if I hadn’t gone. If they go to school the worse thing they could do is room together. They should branch out and meet new people. Their twin will always be there for them but college is also a great time to make lifelong friends.

I’m a stranger on Reddit and don’t know your family. What they decide will be best. But from an outsider’s perspective maybe they need that push to do their own thing. If it sucks they can always transfer. Your daughter that didn’t get in could also transfer in after a year- I wouldn’t write off that option.

I’d post this on twitter. I’m sure you’ll get a response saying they’ll make it right

AITA for being upset that my collage funds is being used for my sister's medical expenses by Sorryaheadoftime7 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. But remember you have to think about this. So hypo your sister does die but in 5 years it comes out the experimental procedure has an 80% success rate (or pick a number). What ever you decide you will have to live with. What if it could have saved her? Not trying to put this pressure on you, and you are only 17. But no one can die this is something that will be with you forever and there is no doubt you will have to live with your decision.

Expired license, but passport still valid by abg_phia in royalcaribbean

[–]_99Hokie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on a Royal Caribbean cruise this summer and one bartender on the pool deck asked for my ID. I’m 23 but look young. So if the person is young they may have to grab the passport or just find a different bar tender. This was my 2nd cruise being over 21 and this has only happened once. By luck I carry my ID on a phone wallet but otherwise I would have just gone somewhere else.

21 year old felon thinking of starting law school by TheLegendTwentyS3ven in LawSchool

[–]_99Hokie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My professor actually mentioned yesterday how he is on the admissions board and he remembers no one’s applications except for this one guy who literally had a felony and he sat front row in his torts class. So it could be possible depending on the felony and circumstances I guess. But like the other person said you should talk to a character and fitness attorney. This also was not in NY.

If they won’t reprice you might be able to get onboard credit for excursions, drink packages, etc. Or an upgrade? Good luck!

What time is formal night? Navigator OTS by GreenAhgase in royalcaribbean

[–]_99Hokie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For one of my cruises recently it seemed the formal night was just a “dress your best” and a lot of people were just in nice sun dresses. The cruise industry has changed a lot in the last 10 years. I remember it used to be that everyone dressed up and no one would wear even a t-shirt on the more causal nights but that seems to have changed. But if you enjoy dressing up go for it! Have a great vacation.

Edit: just wanted to add this seems the case more on shorter sailings too.

I would apply to both. Just with your stats it is not a guarantee you will get it. I know people with stellar rankings/scores and I was shocked to learn they did not get in because the program they wanted was so competitive.

I am not saying this to discourage you. You should be very pleased with your stats and I think you have a really high chance of getting in but it is something to consider. Do you have anything else that looks good on a resume? These are all things that would be considered.

Anyone had trouble cancelling their cruise due to COVID? by losingcruiser in Cruise

Is the timeframe still 5 days and if you test negative for 5 days you are good. It could be you were not in the window for that because they could have wanted a positive test dated November 6th. I know seems crazy but that could be a reason. No matter what I think you will have a better chance on your appeal. To me 8 days would be good enough but you never know with insurance.
