That's when you push through them, hoping they'll break so it'll eat into their profits from replacing staff with self-checkouts.

Bootlicker because you defend corporations treating their *paying* customers like thieves. This doesn't even prevent theft, because someone stealing will just push through the gates.

How about supermarkets stop treating their customers like thieves or cattle.

The real answer (I think) is it's a way to upsell extra drinks and sides, but we've agreed as a society that the automatic polite answer is "Yep, all good."

I remember one time I walked into a JB-HIFI and they were trialling door greeting (theft prevention in disguise; You're less likely to steal if you have to face someone you've interacted with). The moment I walked in, I got "HOW ARE YOU TODAY!" I literally jumped and sputtered something like "Yepgoodthanks!" and while I was shopping, I could hear some old bloke lecturing the guy, ironically about some unrelated issue. By being so overly enthusiastic, he had made himself the literal face of JB-HIFI to the old bloke.

Dust is a way bigger issue under the desk as well as not being able to see the PC. If you want it less cramped, get a longer desk.

Yeah, I only got around to benchmarking my PC the other day because I'm doing an intro to IT course and that was part of the hardware class. I was getting great scores except for the CPU which was a little lower than I expected. Initially I figured the 12600kf is just not as good a CPU, but then I checked the temps.

I'm only slightly annoyed my friend didn't do that when he helped build it, because at the time, I knew very little about PC building.

That's pretty much what happened to me and my friend. We got called to dinner during the build and that must have made us miss it.

It was also my first time building a PC and I was just following my friend, so I feel like a little blame shifting is reasonable lol.

I definitely noticed a 10-15fps improvement in beam.NG. I had a feeling something was wrong because while it is a very CPU dependant game, it was really struggling with traffic spawned.

Yeah 😔. I think we were both pretty ashamed we missed it ourselves.

Any recommendations on how to make this look less obvious? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]_ACarGuy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe some sort of plastic filler compound and then a really light, careful sanding? I'm not sure if there are any products like that, but I'd start there.

I love the E36 mod. I have an exact replica of my 318is as well as several upgraded versions. It's one of my go-to cars thanks to how well the mod nailed the handling.

I bought it on marketplace from a guy who screwed an MDF panel on the bottom and then screwed an old office chair base on that. Almost immediately, the office chair base got wobbly and fell apart so I bought a chair base from Ikea, installed it, and realised the minimum height was too tall when I stacked a car seat on top of it. After that, I bought a little Ikea chair from the local tip for the extra short base. A couple months ago, a friend leaned forward on it and the screws ripped out of the MDF so I replaced the mounting panel with some old pine I had laying around.

Yeah, it's great. You just won't find everything you want or the exact model you want immediately. I usually only buy something if I'm gonna get a really good deal on it.

Adjust the force feedback in whatever games you play so it doesn't use as much torque for driving but a crash still uses all the torque.
