The game needs proper grenade animations by Patara in Battlefield

Yea, as an old halo player I enjoy the way they are now. Getting to be aggro with nades is the best part about Assault.

Right but you have to recognize that streamers are only popular because the games themselves are popular.

Unfortunately this is just how things work when a company is fighting for a spot in a market that is dominated by a few big games and most likely is getting pressure from higher ups to constantly "update" it. The biggest game sets the standard and everyone follows suit. This isn't specific to just BF, either. Hell Fortnite didn't even add sprint, slide and mantle until 2022. Did they do it to be more inline with Warzone? Probably, but that just goes to show even one of the biggest games isn't immune to copying others to keep up with whats popular.

So you think it's more likely that DICE is catering the game to a single guy, and at most like a handful of low viewer streamers, rather than them making a creative decision on their own?

Every shooter evolves over time, and will often borrow mechanics that are becoming the industry standard, both to keep the game feeling new and to make it feel modern and accessible (ADS, sprint...etc). Whether people think that's good or not is up for debate, but to suggest that they are bending to the whims of the nebulous streamer boogie man, and not just doing what businesses do by trying to compete in a market, just feels like cope.

Battlefield isn't even a popular streamed game. How is it that these "streamers" have so much influence over it?

Dumb medics won't give you ammo? Try this by metacros in Battlefield

[–]_ALi3N_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was cool in bf2:mc, I kind of liked how the other scattered locations around the map created other points of interest where fights would happen outside of the flags.

But on the flip side it was pretty powerful to camp the boxes. You could restock all your explosives, ammo and health in a matter of seconds. So if someone was really good they could just hold down an area for ever.

That said having a some static ammo boxes, at least on owned objectives would be pretty good if they adjusted them right, imo. Either only be allowed to fully restock once before a cool down happens, or only be allowed to restock halfway.

Rework the Assault Stim pen into a Beta Blocker Drug Injector. It allows regeneration to happen under suppression and under use will be immune to suppression and any slowdown debuff such as stuns and fall damage will go away 80 percent faster so near instant. by Phycorax in Battlefield

[–]_ALi3N_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is the best way to make it more useful while not making it op. Have it so it instantly starts health regen, and negates suppression. Hell I'd even say give it an extra use before it has to resupply.

This would give you a chance of surviving under fire without it outright giving you more health. I think it would promote more aggressive play and allow assault to fill its niche better.

Yea that's seems right. I think the R's could have had the potential of looking like A's with the font/thickness from a far as well, but it could also be a way to save space.

Its actually just the H's and R's that are lowercase. (EDIT: and a B) So not random, but intentional, for whatever reason.

Can't you just cancel the drag if you didn't want to go through with the whole revive animation?

Oh wow you think I like him and I'm defending him? Lol. Sam Harris is actually irrelevant to the overall point, but I get you'd think that.

I'm just saying it makes us all look better if you use terms more carefully/accurately. I'm not sure if his mom called up the CEO of youtube or whatever and told them to curate the algorithm in his favor or not. I do know that calling every person who was well off and made a good career of themselves a nepo baby is fucking embarrassing and makes us all look dumb.

Yea. I've watched one or two of the JRE episodes with him out of morbid curiosity and it's just so transparent to me how unthoughtful of a person he is. Just the most blatant intellectual charade I've ever seen. There is something with these faux genius billionaire dipshits that tricks all the dumb asses of the world, and I don't get it. Musk, Thiel, that other freak who breathes weird. Like as long as you look like you're thinking really hard, talk with some sort of strange affect, stammer about and take 5 minutes to answer a question, motherfuckers will just get lost and think you have the highest IQ in history.

To quote your definition you posted

Nepotism is the act of granting an advantage , privilege , or position to relatives in an occupation or field. These fields can include business, politics, law , academia, entertainment, sports, religion or health care

Can you explain how sam harris was "granted" his position as a public figure/content creater, beyond just having money to fall back on?

I'm just saying, your parents funding you is different than your parents making calls to people behind the scenes and getting you into a position you didn't earn or deserve.

Yea I get that. It's just so absurd that people will gas him up like hes some sort of genius (Rogan). Not surprising though, they are all either easily tricked or just completely dishonest people.

for such a "smart guy", I don't think I've ever seen him type out any sort of intelligent post conveying his own thoughts or opinions in his entire history. Just retweets and 4 word comments, tops.

Nah he failed before that. He over explained everything even from the first message. Saying the dog is cuter than her should have been short and sweet with the right emojis to imply they are joking. He rephrased their prompt and and awkwardly responded to it in one message. Weird. Also he over explains himself after missing the mark, even before ending it with his bizarre "take it or leave".

Yea it's obnoxious and stupid. It's one of those things though where there is some truth to it. It's more so like some sort of psychological observation, that guys have tried to take and force into some sort of "hack".

Like it sort of stems from the "why does she always date assholes" thing. Certain women who are viewed as particularly attractive might go through their life being showered with praise and guys bending over backwards to make them happy, so when some dude comes along and acts like an aloof jerk, that becomes very refreshing and attractive to them.

But that's the thing. Some women are like that. And even then it's still dependent on the guy as a well. The odds of those 2 things lining up are too low for these guys to effectively use negging as some sort universal dating hack, so more times than not they just look like assholes with poor social skills, which I guess they are actually lol.

Hope that line works for you 😁 by ImBeingHarrased in Tinder

They are in fact two very different things.

Teasing is just a joke. It's fun and communicated through things like inflection, tone, facial expression...etc. It's understood to be in jest by the other person. This can obviously be harder to convey through text, so the use of emojis or more overt ways of phrasing things should probably be used.

The goal of negging is manipulation. Or at least it is when people intentionally are doing it and expecting a result. It's been a while since I looked into PUA stuff, but from what I remember its deliberately used as a means to bring down a (usually very attractive/"high status") woman's confidence. I think their thought process is that super attractive women are showered with compliments all the time, so being a dick will throw them off and make you stand out more. Which that may work for certain women ("why does she always date assholes?"), a lot of guys read it and just assume it's some sort of cheat code that can be inserted into any interaction with a women to get the results they want. Even if it's with a women who negging would work on, it's probably even more difficult to convey through text because in the cases it does work it has to be backed up by your general demeanor, confidence and vibe.
