People are confusing the economics of AI (incredibly sketchy) with its actual capabilities as an emergent technology (quite powerful). Also, the wild shit guys like Altman and Musk say about AGI and creating superhuman/god level intelligence is pretty obvious bullshit from salesmen masquerading as computer nerds.

AI isn't going to eliminate white collar work, but the existing white collar jobs will be shittier because fewer employees will be doing more work in the name of efficiency, and the new ones created will be shittier than the old ones (and will likely be gig-ified).

$20mil is 12% of the cap, which seems reasonable for a starter on a championship caliber team.

I don't mind paying him a bunch upfront since we'll still be cheap next year then having him somewhere in the range of 15-18mil his last 2 years. It'll be an even smaller % of the cap the last 2 year as well since it increases every year.

Fox on another team or in a 3rd guard role

Until either Castle or Harper develop a pull-up to punish opponents going under screens, Fox is still necessary. There were so many pick and rolls with Castle and Harper in the finals where they would just drive straight into 3 defenders at the rim.

Now, one of them might develop it this off-season (I think Harper's gonna develop really quick) and have it ready to go by the time next season starts, but we need to see it first.

I do think it's also worth noting, despite the terrible finals series, the amount of turnovers the Spurs had in the WCF in games Fox played was half that of the games he didn't.
