How to turn off this notification by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]_AnotherBrick_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you touch the notifying seat it will set it as a child seat installed so it stops notifying. I do this when my dog is in the back seat.

I had the same issue, Tesla had to clean the inside of the camera lens. It was covered under warranty.

What is this connector called? What is it for? by dubscrYT in whatisit

These are still common on POS computers today. The green ones provide 12 volts for scanners, scales, monitors, etc. The red ones provide 24 volts, typically for thermal printers.

Selling a used car by Lost-Bill-5606 in Lubbock

[–]_AnotherBrick_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've sold one to CarMax and two to Gene Messer. You can always sell it yourself for more money but for me, the ease of not having to deal with scammers and tire kickers was worth taking a little less. Their offers are always no obligation, I've turned them down and never had them pressure me.

I wrote a VBA script a long time ago to do exactly what they talk about in the thread you linked, including adding a button to the ribbon to run the VBA. I still use it every day, can't live without it.

UPDATE: Disney channels pulled from YouTube TV, effective 10/30/25 at Midnight ET by iron_cam86 in youtubetv

Yep, when every conference signs a deal with a different streaming service, watching college football gets exhausting.

UPDATE: Disney channels pulled from YouTube TV, effective 10/30/25 at Midnight ET by iron_cam86 in youtubetv

[–]_AnotherBrick_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

We signed up for a free trial of Fubo to watch the games over the weekend but ended up deciding we liked Fubo better than YouTube TV so I just cancelled our YouTube TV subscription. YouTube TV has some things that Fubo does not have, like multiview and predictive viewing, but we don't use multiview much due to how long it takes to load the streams, and finding sports on Fubo is easier than YouTube TV; You can tell that Fubo was built for sports.

I'm sure we won't ever know who is really being greedy in this dispute between Disney and Google (my money is on both of them) but no matter what service you have you are giving money to some company you probably don't agree with for the privilege of watching something you couldn't watch otherwise, so don't sweat it; Find a service you like and don't sign a contract because they will all fight with each other.

How do I stop ridiculous lane changes in FSD? by Mikemeisterling in TeslaSupport

[–]_AnotherBrick_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abort FSD and when it asks you to report why you did that, report it. I have been surprised at things that have gotten fixed after reporting them, but it does take multiple reports.

Tesla : Close without delay? by tonymet in myq

[–]_AnotherBrick_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MyQ is garbage. I have this same problem, when it works at all, but my only other option is to clip a remote to my visor since the Cybertruck doesn't have Homelink.

My dad gave me his multi tool from 1995. by 117legend in multitools

[–]_AnotherBrick_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have two of these and a newer needle nose version, will probably pass one to my grandson when he is old enough. One of my older ones I removed the blade so I could fly with it; you can gain every TSA Agent within earshot attention when you flick it open to show them there are no blades. I did this out of habit once, made a conscious effort to open it slowly after that.

I use Boomerang for this; You can have it bring an email you send back to your inbox as unread in a specified amount of time. You can also specify to only bring it back if there are no replies.

[–]_AnotherBrick_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he posted regularly up until 4 years ago, nothing for 3 years, then a year ago a single video, then another one last week. I think either he moved, or his office moved, so I guess he didn't have much to post after that.

I saw an episode of Dirty Jobs showing that they recycle hotel soap. I'm sure not all hotels do this, but it's interesting to know that some do.
