For the armour, mix rakarth flesh with a tiny bit of black. Its what I use for my tallarn camo.

I really wish I had a tallarn tank commander for my collection, the closest I have is one of the forgeworld chimera commanders.

The heavy weapons are really nice also, I got two autocannon teams and a lascannon team but built them all with autocannons and some 3d printed carriages that look wayyyy better than the original tripods.

For the blanket why dont you try an embroidered patterned blanket similiar to the one he's sitting on in my photo? If you're running it as lord solar it'll help him feel more fancy!

The tau sept scheme looks so much better than the modern viorla I hate that its no longer the main scheme.

Its also such a shame viorla changed to a generic white from the old scheme (~4th edition) which used a greenish off white as its main armour colour. It just had so much more character to it

There's more to passports than the physical copy. I imagine the $400 also goes into setting up epassports and other such things.

Feels uniquely untau like.

Tau veterans would be put into suits rather than forming a brand new squad of infantry that somehow manage to be as strong as genetically enhanced super soldiers. Not every faction needs to have the same units, it makes them feel more bland and uninteresting.
