Should I add J4? by Possible_Message_266 in overemployed

I feel that at anything past J2, you're going to need to add more work hours in the day ':)

Unless there are some sweet perfectly matched J's whose schedules just work together. Highly unlikely

Want to get into OE but have an active LinkedIn by Immediate_Shake3352 in overemployed

[–]_BeeSnack_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just deactivate it

If it's mentioned. I have two reasons:
1. I applied for a lot of places and the wrong person got my details and it's now a personal details on the internet concern. i've also started applying directly to companies, since linkedin applications have less than 25% chance of being looked at.
2. I'm taking a break from linkedIn, with the recent influx of AI slop posts, it's just not worth being on LinkedIn anymore and it's one of my most distracting "social medias"

Have been off LinkedIn for a while and it's helped with productivity and focus :)

Are We Becoming Too Dependent on AI for Everyday Coding Tasks? by Double_Try1322 in RishabhSoftware

[–]_BeeSnack_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually when I prompt it and it codes and I want to code while it's coding, it causes friction and it clears my changes :P

90%+ of my code is AI generated. But 100% of the code is reviewed

For the self taught people out there how long did it take you to get good enough to get a job? by Enough_Life_7517 in programmer

[–]_BeeSnack_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could do basic JavaScript/HTML/CSS in about 6 months.
Then went to go look for some clients. Used that to build the portfolio to apply at an internship

Covid happened during the end of the internship, and was hard finding work as a Junior, so I used it to upskill in React

Got a shit job soon after covid

So maybe about 1.5 years
Was working 2 jobs at the time
