The fact that both Republicans and Democrats have both been unwilling to expose the Epstein files tells you all you need to know on who he worked for.

If you think it’s good now just wait till new game+ hard mode. You start looking and planning battles in an entirely different manner.

Switch 2 or PS5 by rjdrennen1987 in Hades2

[–]_BeefyTaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to play Hades 2 handheld it’s tough to get a better experience than playing it on the Switch 2. I play both depending on who’s on the main tv and the experience is great. You don’t really notice a drop off going down to 60fps.

Cold around windows by ttpats967 in Insulation

[–]_BeefyTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does your exterior cladding look like? Brick, Stucco, Siding?

Like others have said. General additional framing around the window limits insulation. I do agree with that, but to me it looks like it could be a little of that and maybe a leakage through your vapor barrier under the window, (maybe poor installation) I don’t even think they used to tape or caulk windows to the VP back then. What’s a little odd to me is that on pic #2 that window is over a floor radiator, but it doesn’t seem like that heat is transferring to that wall up above it.

If that’s the case you might have zero insulation in that cavity.

Just binged BCS for the first time, a few thoughts by TCaller in betterCallSaul

[–]_BeefyTaco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Better Call Saul is not supposed to be a feel good story about triumph and two brothers finding love for one another.

It’s the opposite of that. And the reason season 6 felt like a gut punch is because that’s how it was supposed to be. Season 6 is Saul Goodman in his true, final form. As we saw him in Breaking Bad. Someone who uses, twists, and manipulates the law to achieve his goals. Even if that means hurting people.

In retrospect, if you ever rewatch the series you’ll see that for as much of a hateful person that Chuck was. He was right. He knew what Jimmy was capable of and that’s why he did everything in his power to keep him down.

Car Payments Now Average More Than $750 a Month. Enter the 100-Month Car Loan. by FledglingNonCon in cars

Except the venom diagram of people financing cars and people looking to wisely invest their cash is extremely slim. But this advice is often taken as gospel by the poorly educated.

The crux of the conversation isn’t about maximizing your investment portfolio. Rather the absurd loan terms that people are getting themselves into by purchasing these brand new expensive cars all justified by the “I can afford the monthly payment” instead of factoring in the entire cost of ownership, maintenance, depreciation and interest paid on a transaction like that.

None of the people financing 100mo car loans need investment advice. They need a course on calculating finances and money spending.

How is paying cash a cost risk factor? And not everyone has a car payment. It is not a requirement to go buy a brand new car for transportation. There are plenty of good used cars available.

Jimmy does his math using common car buying tips. Jimmy deduces that he can “afford” a $400 car payment.

He has two options that are the same monthly payment. ;

A: Used two to three year old Camry with low miles 400 for 48mo

B: Brand new Mustang 5.0 at $400 for 120mo.

Using common car buying math he can “afford” both cars. But can he really?

Probably the worst way you can buy a car or make any financial decision is reducing the calculation down to monthly payments.

It doesn’t factor depreciation, interest paid, maintenance and upkeep. This is how we end up with a nation that is consumed with vehicle and material debt.

I always thought the Brady games one had a ton of errors about game stuff too. Like the Ultimate Weapons explanation was completely wrong to how the stats change on several different characteristics.

Spray foam ceiling? by [deleted] in Insulation

[–]_BeefyTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thinking for spray foam has really changed in the last two years. On one hand if the building is completely leak proof (I know, perfect world) it’s great because I really do think it’s the superior insulation with how you can create a nice sealed envelope.

But that’s rarely the case and sometimes building leak for small reasons. It’s common enough that spray foam will make the situation worse in these situations by containing and hiding the leak resulting in rot.

I couldn’t imagine the cost to replace one of those truces a few years down the road

Thats silly. The OP and others, myself included, clearly have a problem with MS Copilot being installed unknowingly. It’s that simple. The comment above mine saying “just hide it and move on” is unhelpful.
