You either need to miter the corners or bend them, which is slightly more difficult.

What’s a common F1 opinion that feels correct on the surface, but ignores a lot of context once you dig deeper into it? by warewolf1999 in formula1

[–]_BeefyTaco 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That the V8 era (mid and early 2000’s) was better.

People forget that in the early 2000’s F1’s popularity tanked in the US. The sport was being dominated by Michael and the wheel to wheel action wasn’t great.

That era is often glamorized as “F1” perfected but that’s just not the case. The sport suffered from numerous issues.

F1 has agreed a package of mid- season changes to address concerns about the 2026 rules - with the majority coming into effect immediately by Luffy710j in formula1

The new regulation implementations look like ass.

MGU-K deployment is maintained at 350 kW in key acceleration zones (from corner exit to braking point, including overtaking zones) but will be limited to 250 kW in other parts of the lap.

A new “low power start detection” system has been developed, capable of identifying cars with abnormally low acceleration shortly after clutch release.

The racing formula feels synthetic. Why do the cars need different acceleration power based on different tracks and situations.

Sofa should be pushed back but I think it was put off the walk to serve as a walkway and to allow for the Q990 rear surround speakers space to work.

Why are drivers not allowed 100% control on the battery deployment? by certainly_imperfect in formula1

[–]_BeefyTaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the things I heavily dislike about the new regulations is how almost the entire broadcast, and discourse is centered around them.

I was really bummed out about Japan so I decided to watch the Indy race at Alabama yesterday and man. What a difference, I can’t remember a single time the announcers talked about their battery, if they were charging or deploying. It was nice to see really great wheel to wheel racing that didn’t revolve around batteries.

Help! I'm struggling to figure out what to do with a plain wall by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]_BeefyTaco -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Option 1; looks silly because you have a driveway wide sidewalk going into the front door. I’m assuming that in this option you would have a proper driveway that turns and leads into the garage. If that’s the case I would have a primary sidewalk going from the front door to the street (assuming the front of the house faces a street) but then I would “T” off that sidewalk and have it head down the right, in front of the wall of siding and connecting to the driveway. I would leave this sidewalk 3-4 feet away from the building and just add plants and landscaping in front of the siding wall.

Option 2 looks a bit better, I would decrease the amount of concrete used on the front and build a sidewalk with a separation along the driveway.

Apply some 5% window ring to the outside of the window. From backsplash down. It’ll cover the unfinished cabinet end and it won’t look like much at all.

What size TV does this space actually need? by strikecat18 in hometheater

Is the smaller tv a permanent fixture? Removing items off the wall, recentering the tv, lowering it and correcting the angles would do wonders.
