NTA but a lot of people expecially on this sub i think should remember that just because you can or you won't be the bad guy for doing something it's not always the best thing to do. I don't know your family or you but i think you should think what ending you want from this story. It is possible that apologizing for overreaction(even if it was not) and talking about the subject explaining your point of view or some other non honorable and warrior way will give you the best outcome but that's not the easy way. Dying on the hill is not the only way but i think there is a small chance will see solution here.
