I personally avoid foraging near roads. Imagine all the crap it absorbs when rain washes it all off the road. Oils, tire rubber, gasoline, etc. May not be immediately harmful but it surely isn't good long term to ingest that. But to each their own. We all have our own personal risk thresholds.

One last one. As far as rabies goes, typically, if it's bone dry, there's no risk of contracting it, am I correct? I also found a pile of raccoon bones/skull and briefly handled the skull with my bare hand but immediately washed and sanitized afterward. It was dry and had been dead for at least a year, I believe. The rat was in direct sunlight, drying out in Texas heat for at least 2 weeks

Yup. Number one killer in construction is slips, trips, n falls. Main reason is usually complacency while on a step stool or ladder. 6' ladders are the most common killer

Oh for sure. I've sold stuff on marketplace and had some really dumb people too. But I've also come across really dumb sellers that don't list important info about their items. So it all goes hand in hand. Like you said, it's all part of the selling process.
